aaachoo, that's a result of the Collective bargaining agreement..Francis is still on his rookie contract. He's getting paid the most possible under the current salary structure.

Glen Rice, Maurice Taylor, and Cato are albatrosses though, no doubt abou that.

Heck, if you REALLY want to talk about a player who's underpaid. How about YAO??? That guy is making, by my estimation, just over $1M AFTER THE CHINESE GOV'T'S CUT!!! After federal U.S. taxes, it's probably half of this amount. INCREDIBLE!!! For whatever wealth Yao creates for this league, I really hope he gets his just due. Even among rookies, Yao was an absolute BARGAIN. Moreover, I still can't believe we have him signed for 3 years with a 4th as an option.

    :D

IMHO, the MOST expensive players, relative to their productivity is:

    1. Maurice Taylor
    2. Glen Rice

I can at least make a case for Glen that he's a veteran with proven skills and semi-consistent performance. MoT on the other hand is a real expensive bench player. Is he worth it?

    A moot point.

About Yao, most people in China make about $500 / month, so I'm sure that $500,000 to Yao, though it is under comparative NBA standards, is a lot in his eyes.

don't forget that the biggest cut out of Yao's salary is from the US govt (40 percent), not even the Chinese govt and CBA combined can match the draining power of Uncle Sam.

what's with the chinese government taking yao's salaries?

i've never heard of the german government taking dirk's salaries or the lithuanian government taking sabonis' salaries or anything.

sorry to post a new one but the edit doesnot work here. I think Rox should resign some overpaid player to bring in more player.
The lose to MN is such simple , we are too tired. If we got more good player, we can rest our top gun sometimes.
I think rudy have figure that out for a while. if u have watch the last game, in 4 q, he have try some different conbination after he decide to give up.

I think Yao's has the lowest salary in rox for most of it was divided by US gov, Chinese gov and yao's previous team.
