U gotta be kidding me mayn?! Please tell me u aren't serious! how can u even compare scottie to trevor let alone tmac to mike. You probably didn't mean to but u disrespected the greatest to play the game.
No he is fine. He was at the hospital for tests and they made him nervous. He posted a couple of times on twitter... poor kid sounded really freaked out.
Ha I didnt my bad guess i just glanced at it and thought it was a smiley face I was about to say though
he says he feels ready to go full out, but the organization and the doctors feel it is too early..I think t-mac is taking the news well considering he didnt know fully of what was going on. Even the reporters had to tell him what date the rockets said they would perform another MRI
That's true. But you know, I kinda felt dissapointed when I was expecting him back in the training camp and all of the sudden I heard he is out till 23rd. But I guess that's the best thing for him to do. Once I think about last season when he rushed it, I think it is a great idea to keep him out and make sure he is 100% when he comes back.
At least the 23rd... Here is a sentence from an article published last night: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6643998.html It's nothing official but Feigen is much closer to the inner workings of this organization than the vast majority of us. A lot of the sublte comments placed here and there seem to suggest McGrady won't be back until late December at the earliest. However, it's still all speculation at this point.
Thanks. I know, at least to 23rd. They will probably take an MRI and will let him practice. He will do it for about a week or 2 and I expect him back at the beggining of December, I mean since the 1st game.
I think early December is a reasonable expectation but even that may be optimistic. I wouldn't be shocked if it ends up being late December or January. A lot will probably be determined by that next MRI. I know you are a big McGrady fan so I understand your attitude but it may be wise to lower your expectations. A lot is still unknown.
Well he'll get his MRI done on 23 novembber anf if he is cleared, he'll get a couple weeks of training to get conditioned meaning early december. nothing earth shattering by feigan.
I know I know. But he knows it is his contract year and I do belive 2 months will be enough. We will see, though.
Correct, nothing earth-shattering at all. That was anything but my point.. I was responding to somebody who seemed to think he would be back ON Novermber 23rd. And, it's Feigen, not Feigan.
i would honestly be shocked if they hold him out of practice after nov 23, i mean he cant even practice, they still want him to rehab. IDK
tracy DID also talked with the doctors, according to his media day and he WILL listen to them. he actually thought the docs would only hold him out a "couple of weeks" and didn't even know the exact date (11/23). and he didn't even look worried so i'm sure everything is fine. although if it was up to him, he's ready to practice, ball, and whatever the team needs him to do right now. but like he said, it's only 7 months post-op and this type of surgery usually requires a full year of rehab BEFORE doing anything. i'm sure the doctors/team/mcgrady are being OVERLY cautious after what happened last year. if he's 99% now, they want him 110%. they want him to be able to handle the responsibilities (which will be a lot) and play big minutes when he returns. and even i don't think he's capable of playing 35 minutes at a high level, with consistent back-to-backs. therefore, it's reasonable for him to just keep doing what he has been doing: keep rehabbing, do the shooting drills, practice jumping/cutting/dunking. get the MRI on the 23rd. if it looks like it has been, he'll start practicing with the team. it'll take him a couple of weeks to get re-acquainted (b/c him doing basketball drills, cardio, playing 5-on-5 either with the team or whatever will get him in somewhat basketball shape) and learn about his new teammates. so he should be ready to roll by december. the unfortunate thing is our schedule is extremely tough early on. it's crucial that others step up.
The full year to recovery thing baffles me, because tons of athletes have had this same procedure and came back much sooner. Tmac's was very minor in comparison..... Jason Kidd John Stockton... Both came back in under this time frame....very strange..... I am sure the Rockets are being cautious, but I am also fairly certain they want to get an established playing style before Mr. "I need my touches" comes back. DD
It looks like AB put on some muscles. I wonder if that will slow him down, or would that actually help with his lay ups.
