What does "caught the eye" mean exactly? I'm sure Tim Duncan, Shaq and Kobe catch the eyes of the Rockets quite frequently. os
It probably means that BUcher or somebody was sitting near Rudy during the USA or China-Argentina game and heard him say "good shot" or "nice pass" or something like that when he had the ball.
