    Don't kill the messenger...

@SamAmicoNBA: Blazers are on team that really likes Andy Varejao. Rockets another. Spurs too. But especially Blazers.

    What for?

Maybe they're ready to can the Jordan Hill experiment and swap him out for a guy that fits the mold of what they want. Gives them an athletic F/C for a smallball lineup when Yao isn't playing and/or Miller can't keep up.

I've always thought Varejao would be a good fit for this team.

Exactly , why? He's more of a Power Forward than a center, we have hill and patterson, as well as Scola and Hayes. Unless they want more insurance for Yao, but even then, they're are better options at the 5. Two things are running through my head right now:
    1) Rockets plan to trade one or two big man to get a premium player(i.e melo) and than ship out an expiring for Varejao.
    Or the more likely...
    2) This guy'd making **** up.

Anyone notice whenever there's a looming trade it's always "Blazers interested, and so are Rockets, but mainly Blazers."

Cleveland needs to blow it up and start over.

Not sure what deal work work for both sides though. Jeffries and Varejao salaries match up. That's a lonnnnggggg contract to take on.

I remember reading that Denver is interested in Varejao as a part of a Melo swap but no way La La allows his wife to play in Cleveland.

Wonder if it has anything to do with it.

On the other hand, Varejao also looks very much like a "Morey Player."

Sideshow was named as a player the Nuggets would involve in a trade for Melo...

A whole lot of contact and fouls with Varejao, Lowry, and Kevin. On the other side a whole lot of flops with Varejao, Battier, and Scola.

If this is who Morey wants, sure. Dude does a lot of things right on the court, he's very much a Morey player. Not going to have some big 20-10 game every week, not very exciting to watch...but he plays ball the right way...besides the flopping of course.

He also gives 100%, of course here comes the Blazers...

Varejao is significantly better than 3 out of the 4 guys you mentioned.
