Many people make a big deal of the Rockets losing 4 games to 1 against the Warriors or even coming back from a 3-1 deficit against the Clippers. What I don't understand is why when the margin was only by a thread. Against the Warriors: Houston was 0-3 on the road and 1-1 at home. Technically they were only 1 home win away from forcing a game 6 where they would have been at home again and possibly couldn't taken them to a game #7. Against the Clippers: The Rockets were 3-1 at home and 1-2 on the road. They split the first 2 games in Houston and lost both in LA. All they did was win their last 2 home games (Which is something they are supposed to do) and counter by winning in LA. It doesn't matter that it was 3 wins in a row. Some here will most likely dismiss all of this stating this was last year, but I remember how people reacted to the Rockets in both instances. Just trying to set the record straight.
Because people inherently don't believe in chaos in sports. Flip the Clippers series and the storyline would be "The Rockets were clearly the better team but they just aren't clutch, allowed the Clippers to hang around. But still managed to win an ugly series."
