I'd be surprised if this was the first post so if I missed it elsewhere, sorry. The Rockets are finally getting into the Vegas Summer League. Rockets To Vegas Summer League
why isn't the summer league allowed to grow past 16 teams? i think it would be awesome to (hypothetically) have all of the nba's summer teams competing in a mini-summer-season. with a few games played back to back each day in the same arena this could be a potentially huge money maker for the nba since fans are starved for action over the summer.
at least our first round pick will get some action, in more ways than one... what happens in vegas, stays in vegas!
ha! on a serious note... when it's between WNBA or summer league, i watch summer league. do i have to remind you that last years starting line-up from our summer league team ALL made our team during the season? (baxter, hayes, glover, head, LJ3). summer league is more important than some ppl think!
Don't think of it as a $22 NBA scrub game. Think of it as a NCAA ALLSTAR game!!! How do they get away with this? It's a scrimige..
We went to Vegas last summer during this thing I think. We saw lots of NBA players at the casinos, mainly Bellagio. Jermaine O'Neal was a couple of tables over for us for lunch at the Bellagio cafe with some other players I didn't recognize. I think its probably a vacation for the veterans to see the young guys play and stay in Vegas for a couple weeks.
Anybody know where I can get some *dam* tickets? On another note...this is awesome! I just moved to Vegas about three months ago.
Has there been any indiciation from Spanoulis' camp that he even wants to play in the NBA at this point?
You know, I was just noticing something in the article that I hadn't noticed before... all 40 games in the Vegas Summer League will be televised (although not necessarily live).
