I know I've already asked this before. You all have told me about Aussie's and BW3, but I'm at UT and I can't go very far. Is there anywhere near campus to watch the Rockets?
You live in the dorms? They now have Time Warner. Just call up and get the digital upgrade and order League Pass. Pay for it yourself then have people chip in sort of like PPV. You won't recoup all your money but should get a big chunk back. People say they wont' watch but wait till the season starts and there's 0 Rockets games. This season might be different with Yao though.
Yes, no car. Could take bus to BW3 but it'd be a major pain, and I'm not sure if the bus would run after the game was over. I think I might be able to convince somewhere close by to buy League Pass, but right now everyone is focused on football, BUT PRESEASON STARTS IN 5 DAYS... Help me, please...
It seems like there would be a place close to campus, but I can't think of any. Maybe you could convince one of the Austinites to pick you up.
Yeah, 82 times would be a b****. Aussies doesn't seem like it'd be that hard to get to on the bus though...right down Guadalupe to S. 1st.
Hey toz, I'll pick you up in my car if you need a ride to see the game at Aussie's. We meet up probably once a month or so. Yeah you will have Rocket withdraw, but there should be a handful of games on TNT or ESPN. Whatever...... we all know that Im going to break down and buy league pass.
Look at it this way: Let's say you just watch the Rockets - $159/82 = $1.93 per game, and that's excluding games for any other team. It's even less if you consider it per day.
tozai - nobody else on campus will be getting the league pass? Why not try to split the cost with someone else or buddy up with them and get it free???
Thanks for the help all. I'm probably going to find somewhere near to get League Pass, but if I can't I'll see if I can get League Pass and split it with some people.
