im hoping the rockets future plans involve the following. i think that if they went through with these plans, they wouldnt need to make any changes with the current team, and in 2 years, they could be in contention. the 2 keys would be that nachbar actually has the offensive game as advertised and that we resign posey. if both of those happen, i think the rockets could run a great lineup out there: pg: steve sg: posey sf: nachbar pf: griff c: yao 6th man: mobley with this lineup, we could bring mobley in for the instant offense, we would only have to play moochie for 8 minutes or so at backup pg, and we could have posey playing rotating b/w the 2 and the 3. our current frontcourt will be set in the future. griffin has given me reason to think that he will develop once he puts on the pounds. taylor and cato would also be very solid off the bench, were cato to keep up this years performance and taylor to regain some of his old form. the only real question to me is, would this fit under the cap? does anyone know how all of that will work out with the resignings, etc? thanks.
by the way, i left out one of my main ideas. the only way this team will ever succeed is if mobley comes off the bench. that way his minutes would be reduced, we could handle his awful shot selection, and a better rotation could be utilized. if hes not willing to do that, we need to ship him out
How about, Mobley just...vanishes. Along with Moochie. Then Pos could be SG all 48 minutes. Cat lovers, don't bite. I'm not serious. ...that serious.
how could there be any cat lovers? if you love cat, you probably loved giricek the other night. that guy is just as awful for an offense
I'd also like to see Rudy experiment with Mobley off the bench. I say when Rice returns, he replaces Mobley in the starting lineup. Posey slides to the 2 and Rice at the 3.
That would be a great idea, unfortunately Rudy thinks the world of Mobley and wouldn't bench him in favor of Posey sliding to the 2, and re-inserting Rice at the 3.
Although Mobley is best suited coming off the bench,I don't think it would be a good idea to have Rice starting at the 3 and Posey at the 2.Rice has really struggled a lot and should be coming off the bench to replace Posey. Cat should continue as the starter as the SG but he needs to pass the ball and take better shots.
i think it would be a good idea, but rudy t wouldnt do it. posey at sg would be a huge upgrade in terms of defense and his offensive game is a better compliment to francis than mobley is. the whole franics/mobley thing reminds me of when juwan howard and chris webber were together on the bullets or whatever the hell they are called now. webber went to managment and asked that one of the two be traded b/c they were too similar to be effective 2gether. he realized that they would never go anywhere and he was able to get out. will that happen here though?
