    Smart move, shows good faith and they might be able to get a fair deal on both sides. Parsons at 9-12 million is a good price, and I think he will sign for that much knowing that it allows more money for an impact player.

    This is really interesting. How long do you have to wait after matching to trade a player? Or are we just going to let him walk?

    I think this is a move in good faith to Parsons. Showing him he means a lot to the team. Not sure I agree with it but that is what I think. If it wasn't, then why not just pick up the option and gain another year of a valuable trade chip and cap flexibility?
