Is it just me or deo we really truly have a fairly solid bench this year

    Cato
    MOT
    Piatkowski
    A.Griffin
    Mooch(not exactly a great thing)
    Wilks
    and
    Amaechi

not bad at all, i wouldnt mind them backing up our starters

Not bad reserves. Could be worse, when the days of Moochie/Langhi/Rice/MoT/Collier/T Morris

Hopefully Cato will be a starting PF and Eddie coming off the bench

Man I seriously hope that EG or Mo-T will be our PF starter. Cato ain't a PF on the offensive or defensive end. It all depends on the matchups, but IMO Cato is a backup center and can play PF sometimes... Depends on the matchup.

I was thinking too, about how deep our bench appears to be this year.

    Subs:
    Cato
Eddie (I see Mo Tay starting when he's back)
    AGriff or Boki
    Piat
    Mooch

Except for Mooch and Boki, I'm very comfortable with all of those guys playing significant minutes. Hopefully, none of our starters this year will average more than 35mpg.

Who is going to score with this group? They all miss shots or turnover a lot in the preseason.

    :(

We have one of the deepest and most versatile benches in the league. We're loaded up front and have quality reserve guards. I'd like to see Griffin start. Griffin is more of a shot-blocker and rebounder, he isn't a great scorer and Francis, Mobley, Yao and Jackson will take care of that. Meanwhile we'll have fire power off the bench lead by Mo and Pike.

Without rocking the boat too much and coming in at the tail end of the free agent market, I think the Rocket's improved themselves immensely. Consider a complete make-over on the coaching staff and the major-minor tweaks on the roster, I don't think they could possibly have done better. Here's to hope and glory.

The bench is better now but injuries to Eric,A.Griffin and Mo-T are disturbing and will slow us down in the beginning.Unless EG plays significantly better I expect Mo-T to get the starter's job once he is fit to do so.

I honestly think Piatkowski should start and Jackson should come off the bench...Piatkowski needs to be out there with Ming so that he can cash in those 3s when Yao is double-teamed...Jackson will also give the bench some versatile scoring punch and can be the sixth man we need to provide stability...

We don't substitute them all at the same time!

    :D

But yes. I love Wilks. Moochie can just be our cheerleader. He realllllly sucks.
Piatkowski is a good shooter and should get some playing time with Yao and Taylor.
Adrian Griffin is a good defender. I think Boki should get to play too...
Mo Taylor is a good scorer...he can still become a big star.
Cato and Cornell are too great backups. Amaechi is decent as well.

I would like to have Scales or Muoneke. Either one..

    Our bench is much better!

Bench isn't too bad.. I still wish we held on to TMo though, right now he's definitely better than Amaechi, Mooch, or Boki. He's a nice 3-4 swingman who can hit a shot it seems pretty consistently. Hopefully we sign on Wilks and Scales, but we could probly do without Muoneke. All in all the Rox really improved the bench with Piatkowski, Jackson, and Griffin so far.

Wow, he totally slipped my mind, but yeah he would've been like a poor man's bruce bowen. He would have been a nice player to have. H would probly be third string sg and sf, second string sf at best. Jeez, I really wish we could trade Amaechi, Moochie, and Boki for TMo and Hawkins back.

    Yao/Cato
    Griffin/MoT/TMo
    Jackson/Pike/Griffin/TMo/Hawkins
    Mobley/Pike/Scales/Hawkins
    Francis/Wilks

That would be an interesting rull roster: put Hawkins or Scales on the IR. The Rox seem to be plagued by injuries galore, so I'm sure those on the IR may see some time on the court.

Oh and for those who love Boki, I haven't lost all hope for him, but it looks bleak that he'll be anything special this season or next.. and I don't think the Rox can afford to wait much longer.
