Suns just lost to Pacers 81-92. Rockets back to #8 after beating only Nugguts. What irony... I thought season were over.
Rockets remaining schedule: @ New Jersey L @ Milwaukee W @ Philadephia L Oralando W Portland L @ Utah L Seattle W Memphis W @ Denver W I see them go 5-4. Suns remaining schedule: Denver W Minnesota L @ Lakers L @ Denver W Dallas L Golden State W San Antonio L @ Portland L @ Seattle W I see Suns go 4-5. So if Rockets just take care of sub-500 teams, Rockets will be in.
The Rockets' goal should be 44 wins, which means a 6-3 record over the remaining 9 games. Difficult, but not impossible. If they can limit their home losses to one(likely the Portland or Seattle game) and win 3 of their remaining 5 road games, they're virtually guaranteed to get the 8th seed. With Phoenix's remaining schedule, there's no way they lose fewer than 3 games.
its touch and go from here....... the last bus for the playoffs could easily be determined through a coin toss....... Rox need to have a 4 game winning streak.... to have a real chance at it....now is the time starting with the Nets .

Exactly. Denver W Minnesota L @ Lakers L @ Denver W Dallas L Golden State W San Antonio L @ Portland L @ Seattle W The games in bold are match-ups that the opponent has a very good chance to win. The only games that it looks like Phoenix has an advantage in is the two Denver games (which are not entirely out-of-reach for the Nugs), and Golden State (which I would not be surprised at all if they take one from the Suns). Rockets definitely have a scheduling advantage. Just gotta get it done.
We should beat NJ, especially since K-mart is not playing. Then again, who knows with the Rocets. If it goes down to the last game at least ours is against Denver.
Tue 1 at Portland Fri 4 Portland Sun 6 Denver Tue 8 Utah Fri 11 at Phoenix Sat 12 at Dallas Mon 14 LA Clippers Wed 16 LA Lakers right now they are 36-38, while the rockets are 38-35. Assuming we go 4-5 the rest off the way, GS would have to go 7-1, since we have the tie breaker. They're basically done. Actually, Seattle has a better chance, since they currently have the tie-breaker, and are 35-37. Here's their schedule Tue 1 at Chicago Wed 2 at Minnesota Fri 4 LA Clippers Sun 6 Utah Tue 8 at Sacramento Wed 9 Minnesota Fri 11 at San Antonio Sat 12 at Houston Mon 14 at Dallas Wed 16 Phoenix It's pretty difficult, and if we beat them on the 12, no way they can do it. Basically, it's between us and Phoenix.
It's a good thing that there are only 9 games left in the season. Otherwise, my money will be on Seattle to get the last playoff spot. I just watched them massacred Lakers and they looked almost too good to be true. Hopefully by the time we play them, they will be out of the picture already.
Can't count on loses by the Suns at the end of the season....those teams will be resting their regulars. The Rocks need to win NOW . DD
I actually wrote down how I think the Rockets/Suns will finish the season. I hope I am wrong in terms of games I've predicted the Rockets to lose. *hehe* Pheonix Suns @ IND -- L (check) DEN -- W MIN -- W @ LAL -- L @ DEN -- W DAL -- L GS -- W SA -- L @ POR -- L @ SEA -- L Finish stretch on three-game losing streak, 4-6 in last 10 games; 42-40 Houston Rockets @ NJ -- L @ MIL -- W @ PHI -- L ORL -- W POR -- L @ UTA -- L SEA -- W MEM -- W DEN -- W Finish stretch with three-game winning streak, 5-4 in last nine games; 43-39 -- end one game ahead for eighth spot.
Nice to see the confidense and what a dream that would be but seeing this post definately shows that its your 1st
Why set bars? Win them all. We need to win every single game from now on. It's not impossible, we have 2 days rest before each of the next 3 games. It's time to put this run away, grab the 8th seed, and also put some fear into Utah, who have the worst remaining schedule in the entire league.
