I sat right in front of them at the game on Saturday and they were pumped up! They did a great job of screaming and cheering for our team. There was about a 100 of them. The sad thing was that about half way through the first quarter an usher came up to all of them and told them that they had to sit down and they could only stand for big plays. Later in the third, another usher came buy and directed them to sit down again. People complain about how the fans are not rowdy enough, but these fans were doing thier best and were told to tone it down a few nothches a few times. It just goes to show you how much some people care about the atmosphere in the arena. That really pissed me off!

I am glad JVG coughed up the cash for those seats.

I'm not gonna lie, that is some CRAP. I sure hope it's true that they have that taken care of. I wish mr owner would encourage loud cheering and fire any staff member that wants it toned down. IT'S A BASKETBALL GAME.. what do you expect, everyone to sit down and sit quietly while they drink their tea???

I'm not saying that I like him, cus I don't.. not one bit, but I wish Les is a little more enthusiastic like Cuban. I don't mind over-the-top crazy owner during games, I honestly think this is what our team needs. Not Cuban. But a CRaYzee owner. If the owner is crazy.. the crowd will be crazy.

Btw, keep up the good work Rowdies. Go crazy out there, F*ck the ushers. If they do that again, you guys should get LOUDER and let them kick all of you out. That would make the news. Then maybe people will start paying more attention to this utter stupidity that's going on.

Seriously, this **** needs to be fixed. What kind of idiotic promotion is the Red ROWDIES if you're supposed to be a bunch of pu$$ies up there sitting on your hands and whispering with enthusiasm?

I'm sorry, but the whole purpose of this thing is to get the crowd hyped up and keep them hyped up when they're a bit lackluster. I've got a news flash for the Rockets ushers:

THE CROWD DOESN'T NEED HELP CHEERING FOR THE BIG PLAYS. THEY NEED HELP SUSTAINING THAT EXCITEMENT FOR THE WHOLE GAME!!!!

It was probably because the corporate mannequins in the lower bowl complained because they were having trouble hearing during their cellphone conversations.

As I was sitting on the back side of the Rowdies, I can assure you they were having hissy fits. They were openly nasty about it to standers (including myself), and then ushers, then usher supervisors, and all the way up the chain. If we give in and sit, it's all over, because they will get their way every single game. I paid for my tix, and I say make them kick us out for standing. Kick ~50 people out because cheering upset the Jones Theater whiners. Make them decide what they want, and let them tell JVG they pulled the plug and wasted all of his and McGrady's money.

Just tell them JVG and T-mac PERSONALLY bought you these seats in order for you to go crazy for them. If they have a problem with it then to take it up with the owners of the seats.

My Gawd it is time for me to write Les because these Red Rowdies were a large part of making TC ELECTRIC when we were playing the Mavs. We sit over a few sections in 116 and I was hoarse by the 3rd quarter from screaming with the RR's. We need 1000 more RR's and none of them sitting! If people want it quiet while they watch they can go to Jones Hall or Alley Theater. :D

Honestly, what the hell are the ushers going to do if ALL of the Rowdies DON'T sit down? Kick them out? All of them? Talk about a PR nightmare- that would make ESPN.

Just go for it, guys. Don't sit down. You guys are the real cheer leaders. I could tell on TV that you guys were there the other night. Uuck the Fushers. They won't do anything.

They know. The ushers were explaining it to all the tantrum-throwers over and over again in the first quarter. They weren't confused. The complainers just went to every supervisor they could find until they finally got their way. But screw that and screw them. I want to see them kick us out. Kick us out for not swearing, for not using vulgarity, for doing nothing but being the biggest fans in the arena. And sit tight for the backlash...

I am glad you guys are having fun, but I would want to sit as far away from you guys in the arena as possible. I like to have a conversation with the people I attend the games with....

Now, I DO go nutz when appropriate, but not over the top, like the RR do....but.....if I had my choice between last years home crowds and this years....I choose this years hands down, and that is PRIMARILY because of the better atmosphere created by the RR.

I am a big fan of the Red Rowdies. I want to the game Saturday and thought the atmosphere at the TC was a million times better than it used to be. The building had a pulse and some electricity. I thank the good play of the Rockets and also for the RR. I told my wife that I would like to be a RR.

Also, the whole game presentation was a lot better than it used to be. Kudos to the changes that were made. I even liked the commercial bits, especially the Niko Niko's one with Billy, "AMINA".

I was there on Sat Nite and LOVED the Rowdies. I could be one as I was cheering the whole game. I would even suggest that with them cheering, the folks like me felt okay to be rowdy in our own area, just two sections over. The crowd was kinda dead in areas, but the noise overall was great. We need to teach those that sit on their hands that what is expected is being in your seat on time and cheering your team loudly.

I was hoarse by the third quarter and had a blast!
