Ok..I guess starting threads about favorites and least favorites is being over done...but still, I am tempted to start one anyway...

Which team do you consider the Rockets' natural enemy? I'm not talkig this year...I'm talking all-time eternal enemies...Like dolphins vs. sharks kind of enemies...

Boston has upset set me considerably with their two championships at our expense. I always hate the Lakers too. But the Rockets' natural enemy, I think, is the Utah Jazz...When I watch the Jazz play. I am really sickened each time. Kinda like when you see roaches running around...a sort of inate disgust...who do you think is the Rockets' natural enemy???

Like just about every other Rockets fan I know, I hate the Jazz almost as much as I love the Rockets.

Although, they've had some individuals who I hold no grudge against, and hope they get out of Mormon country before it's too late. Eisley has talent, as did Shandon before we stole him away. And Byron Russell's not too shabby either. Too bad a couple of cool, talented guys have to suffer the pain of playing with the sorriest team ever to walk on a basketball court.

I would have to say the Sonics..I dont know why but maybe its cause they eliminated us the year after we won 2 back-to-back championships!

    Absolutely agree with you, CBFC.

But I would replace #5, slid everything from #2 down and add

#2 Kelvin "Iron Man" Cato's ****ing contract!!

    Agreed Horry25. The Sonics.

They upset us a couple of times before the champs too. Although my hatred of them is somewhat abated lately. Yet I still hate Stockton/Malone. Tough call.

funny, because that was #4 before I edited the list. Midway through writing it, i decided that Cato is not so bad after all.

I wonder what that is about ...

    All time eternal enamies
    1. Sonics - because they have been a steady thorn in our sides all the way back to the 80's. They are the one team we can never beat in the play offs.

    2. Jazz - Everyones all time least favorite team (used to be Lambeer and the Pistons), but were they really a thorn in our side until 96? We pounded them in the play offs two years in a row on our way to two championships.

    3. Nuggets - We had a pretty good rivalry in the 80's when they had Alex English. Now it looks like it might be back with both teams starting to get good again.

    4. Mavs - See Nuggets

    5. Tie, Lakers and Celtics - From 80 to 89 the Lakers won all but two Western Conference Championships. Guess who one the other two [IMG] Both times we eliminated the lakers from the play offs, once the the WCF. Both times we went to the NBA finals in the 80's we lost to the Celtics [IMG] How can I not hate that team!

Hate for piddling teams like the Sonics, Nugs and Mavs is only temporary. Hate for the Jazz, Lakers, Knicks and Celtics is the kind of hate that is eternal.

The Rockets will be the NBA champions. Believe.

Sonics hands down. That phantom call on OT.......mmmmmm

Anyone remember that alley-oop from out of bounds with 1 second on the clock in the 80's? That was a game winner by the way in the playoffs.

Oh my god. CBFC has given us the clue. There is going to be a massive deal involving Cato and KG!

    ------------------
The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. And if someone asks me why i didn't get more meat, ill just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where ive hidden it. Good magic trick, huh?

anti-Jazz feelings run strongly through Rocket fans' veins...Do fans of any other teams despise the Rockets as much as we despise the JAzz? I mean are Jazz fans as sickened by the Rockets as we are of the JAzz??? Who considers us a natural enemy? Maybe Vancouver? I know they dont like Steve...but ...hmmm...

Yeah, I think Vancouver hates us. That reminds me: I was reading a thread on the top 5 point guards on the Grizzlies BBS the other day, and everyone who responded made an effort to keep Francis off the list. It was pretty funny. They had guys like Brandon, Nash, and Stoudamire on the top 5, but Steve's name was rarely mentioned. Sad how hatred can block one's mental capacities.

Actually, Eisley found a way to get the hell out of Dodge. He's with the Mavs now (not much better [IMG] ).

Could it be any other team than the scumbag, cheating, dirty, ugly, boring and f*cked up Utah Jazz? I hate that team with a passion. This is not a casual dislike. I truly hate that team. Its a shame that Starks (one of my favorite players) had to join that team. Now I have to hate him too. Still, I won't mind them when Maloof and Chicken Stock are gone. I will enjoy watching them lose though...
