Why would they trade an all-star for cap room? (Considering Mobley for Alexander/Lynch is pretty close to being a wash)
looking at lynch's numbers and his play, he does not appear to be any sort of significant upgrade over our current SF's and alexander is obviously not as good as cuttino so we wouldn't be doing much strengthening of sf while weakening sg. no go.
why do people keep posting fantasy trades. If you can't back it up with some kind of facts don't do it
The reason your assesment is a bit off is because you're judging Lynch by his numbers. Everywhere he's started in the past 3 years has been a sucesful team, and everywhere he's played has had a better record with him than without him. Lynch is easily better than our SF's, and would really REALLY help to ease the pain of losing Posey with his defense and rebounding, although he's not half the finisher. I personally wouldn't do the deal, because what we lose at SG, just gain back at SF. Meaning, we don't improve, btu lose some chemistry. I'm just wondering how people would react to a change of scenery type thing.
actually i meant to edit my post to further explain myself but i was busy agreeing with your post in A-Train's thread. i was going to add that i think lynch was kind of buried in NO (esp with mash at his position) and only got major minutes when NO used their big lineup while BD was out so that obviously affects his numbers. he's better than our SF's, but not enough to cover for the cat to courtney loss and i don't believe he shoots 3's well (or maybe doesn't even shoot them) so in the end i say we still don't do the trade as well.
George Shinn has done dumber things (alienate Charlotte, fire Silas) to do that first trade would be the next thing
