With just days before camps open let's Rock'n'Roll. Silas said LeBron and the Point will be strangers, at least at the outset of the season -- and everyone is playing the 2, Wagner, Davis, and, oh yeah, that LeBron kid. So, who's manning the Point? And who is appealing to the area's eastern Euro crowd (besides Ziggy, of course)? Cleveland rocks with Mooch and Boki and Rolls Rickie D to SE Texas. Cavs get sanity, Rox get talent. Why not?
I'm pretty sure any combination of those 3 can play in the backcourt together. Look at Ricky Davis' assist numbers, and Lebron James will dominate the ball when he plays also. Aside from that, they signed Kevin Ollie for 5 years, so he's got minutes at the point too. Boki and Moochie can only fetch a semi crippled player who has more than 2 years left on his large contract. Nothing more.
Houston trades: PG Moochie Norris (4.3 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 2.4 apg in 16.8 minutes) SF Bostjan Nachbar (2.1 ppg, 0.8 rpg, 0.2 apg in 5.5 minutes) Houston receives: SF Ricky Davis (20.6 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 5.5 apg in 39.6 minutes) Change in team outlook: +14.2 ppg, +2.2 rpg, and +2.9 apg. Cleveland trades: SF Ricky Davis (20.6 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 5.5 apg in 39.6 minutes) Cleveland receives: PG Moochie Norris (4.3 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 2.4 apg in 82 games) SF Bostjan Nachbar (2.1 ppg, 0.8 rpg, 0.2 apg in 14 games) Change in team outlook: -14.2 ppg, -2.2 rpg, and -2.9 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED Hey, it works on RealGM. It's a good deal in my book. "Players only love when there playing" Fleetwood MAC
Naw, Davis really isn't a cancer. He just got really frustrated with the Cavs last year, because we were trying to lose to get LeBron, and he was looking bad because of it. I know he pulled that famous "triple double stunt", but besides that he's really a valuable player. As for the trade, I'm torn! Being a Clevelander, I want to keep Davis, but I also know that the Rockets could do plenty more with him than we ever could. But no way would I give him up for Mooch and Boki. Maybe Griffin and Boki for Davis, becuase we lost our other PF's when Hill and Jones left.
The Cavs don't need Moochie or Boki. They have Miles in addition to Davis at the 3.Ollie will probably start and then Lebron can play as a point forward or get some minutes at the 3 as well.
I think the Cavs would rather hang on to Davis. But wouldn't they love to see a Yao-Lebron combo? Moochie + A. Griff for Lebron + 2004 first rounder. Then the rox get spud webb out of retirement. Francis / Webb Mobes / Pike Lebron / Rice MoT / Griff Yao / Cato
