Thunder only play well when it counts. That means we're ****ed in the playoffs if we underestimate them in the second round.

Well, no, it doesn't at all.

But if that's what you choose to believe that's fine, we can have differing viewpoints.

I love how nothing matters except just saying PLAYOFFS alot when unfavorable data points arrive.

Ohhh this is juicy. I was ready to leave it. Sigh. Someone just wanted to feel good for the day and get the last word in.

I love how nothing matters except just saying REGULAR SEASON RECORD alot when unfavourable data points arrive. (data points, seriously? Ok)

    See what I did there?

I won't even bother explaining why a second round matchup of Portland/New Orleans is MUCH MORE FAVOURABLE than one of Utah/Oklahoma City, because that's purely common sense, and this is as much of a waste of time as the work I'm meant to be doing right now.

Yeah I'm a little worried about that too - more worried than a lot of people seem to be about it.

Plus the chance of someone behind the scenes wanting a Russ versus KD WCF.

You can't rule that out at all.

I think Utah can beat them, their defense is better and can have a better plan to win. but you never know Utah lost a couple games they should have won and okc too

For there to be data points you have to actually have data which is his points saying PLAYOFFS when you have nothing to back that data wise. For the record I do think OKC will beat the Jazz but don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion like you’re trying to make it out to be.

    Oh boy.

Not once did I come out and specifically say that OKC will beat the Jazz.

The entire arguement is that the Jazz/OKC second round matchup is a lot more difficult than the Portland/Pelicans matchup.

Are we on the same page now?

....and given that Portland has been probably the single most difficult matchup for the Warriors this year and that its TBD whether they even have Steph at that point....its a dubious one.

I'll be surprised if the Thunder win the Jazz series. I actually hope they beat the Jazz. Because the Jazz are tough. They're the worst second round matchup we could have of the 4-8 teams. I really don't want to have to beat both them and the Warriors before getting to the Finals. I'm confident we can put away the Thunder without exhausting ourselves.

Out of those 6 (3-8), I throw them all in a group because of similar records, I expect 2 to overachieve.

I'm hype AF. it'll be fun to see a hou okc matchup if okc wins but I think jazz will beat okc. I really believe in this rockets team. Harden is gunning for the chip.

I’m hoping for Utah in the second round. Not because I think they’re any easier or harder than OKC. Or than the Blazers would be. Or heck the Pelicans. Those seem like 4 teams that could all have a sneaky great series.

Just because I prefer change. Tired of the Thunder. Mommy in the first round is exciting. It’s new and fresh.

Has Houston ever played MIN in the playoffs even? I can’t tecall that matchup.

Yes I'm sure the BBS wouldn't be overrun with concern trolls right now had the Wolves lost and the Rockets drew the Spurs.
