i don't expect many people would know who this is. i did not know until i went to the link. i thought it was that pint-size star from 'Webster' originally not some boxing trainer.
Pretty much 100% of the time when stories come out that a person is "still alive, but gravely ill", they pass very soon thereafter. I don't remember a story where that wasn't the case. Anyway, I had no idea that he had health problems and I wish his family well. This was a guy with an intense knowledge and passion for the sport of boxing and will be missed. Apparently he was the guy that taught Tommy Hearns how to sit down on his punches and become the KO legend he was. He also turned Wladimir into an almost untouchable champion.
Lol @ fighthype. Not that credible unless it's Mayweather news. http://www.wxyz.com/dpp/sports/emanuel-stewards-family-disheartened-by-reports-of-death Emanuel Steward's family disheartened by reports of death
Emans sister just confirmed that Mr Steward passed away about 30mins ago. RIP to a legendary trainer and a major figure in boxing.
