For how many people is he anything more than a Downfall meme? He was in "Wings of Desire", but that was a pretty artsy type film. Great film if you are in the mood for that sort of thing. I'm not sure too many Americans have seen him in anything else. I dont remember him from anything else. There are some familiar names from his IMDB like "Boys from Brazil" but I dont specifically remember him from it. It would be merciful if that godawful beat-to-death Downfall meme passed away along with him.
