and i remember him in an interview like 2 years ago sayin he's changed and wants another shot at a comeback, like kemp http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2554123
Does he lash out like this because he can't get a chance? Or he won't get a chance because he lashes out like this? Things to ponder.
i don't really remember Isiah as the type who was in trouble with the law, was he? He probably won't be on anyone's favorite teammate list but is this sort of thing really in character for him?
he has always had "run-ins" with the law, dating back to college and continuing at every step along the way in the NBA: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaiah_Rider
HAHAHAHA... Mutombo and JR Rider were teammates in Atlanta, and they don't like each other.... ******************************************************** http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0FCJ/is_7_28/ai_74437541 Last season, Rider accused Atlanta Hawks teammates Dikembe Mutombo and LaPhonso Ellis of squealing to the NBA regarding Rider's mar1juana use. "Everyone wonders why I was moody at times," says Rider, who was convicted of misdemeanor mar1juana possession when he played with the Portland Trail Blazers and was suspended for five games this past March for violating the NBA drug policy. "I had to deal with players going to the league with accusations that were unproven. They had not seen anything. They had not smelled anything. It was just a vicious attack on J.R." Rider's accusations incensed Mutombo and Ellis. "I don't turn people in. I don't work for the police," Mutombo says. "I don't know anything about that," Ellis says. "I've always treated my teammates like brothers--everything stays within the family. If I had a problem with him. I would go to him. It's just sad that he would accuse me of that."
