Get these riddles and you get a prize. 1. What do you sit on, sleep in, and brush your teeth with? 2. Write the number eleven thousand eleven hundred eleven. 3. If someone took 1 pill every half hour, how long would it take to take 3 pills.
1. Your mom 2. 12111 3. It depends on when the time started. On the hour would be 2.5 hours, on the half hour would be 2 hours.
Well, it takes me about five seconds to swallow one pill, so I'd say 15 seconds, although it would depend on how much water you drank...
1. a Chair, a Bed, and a toothbrush 2. the number eleven thousand eleven hundred eleven. (or 12111 if you like) 3. 1 hour
Here's one: Who won the championship the year the Magic nearly beat the Pistons? Spoiler Not the Pistons.
1. Your skin. It's the one that surrounds you when you sleep, protects you when you sit, and allows you to hold the toothbrush. ----------------- 2. He didn't say "the number eleven thousand eleven hundred AND eleven" or "PLUS eleven" or "PLUS" I'd say: "the number eleven thousand eleven hundred eleven" is the answer ----------------- 3. McGrady... where'd you get 3 hours from ? Do you actually take VERY long to take 1 pill? At the risk of being only wrong on this one, the answer to #3 has to be more than an hour, but unknown. I have read 1 hour before, but here's my reasoning: Let's say you take a pill at the time of this post. Discount the seconds. Just think about the minutes. That means that it will take you ONE MINUTE to take the pill. OK, you take it at 10:17. Add 30 minutes, you take the 2nd one at 10:47. The last pill will be at 11:17, but you don't finish until maybe 11:18. I'd say the answer is 1 hour and 1 minute, no more no less. --------
I agree with that. If you take a pill now, assuming you know how to swallow pills, then even if it take you 1 second to swallow it, you cannot take another one for 30 min. The next pill would be taken at 30 min and 1 sec. That say would also take 1 sec, then your last pill would be taken 30 min after that at 1 hour and 2 sec. So the answer would be slightly more than an hour. Unless, after taking the first pill you put the next pill in your mouth a few seconds before the 30 min between pills has elapsed. Then you time it perfectly such that you swallow the second pill at the exact second that fulfills the 30 min time requirement. You do the same for the third pill as well. Then your total would be 1 hour and 1 sec. But, as I think the problem should be read, if the time interval starts as soon as you take the first pill, then you follow the strategy I wrote in the second paragraph, all three pills would have been ingested at exactly 1 hour.
It REALLY takes you all an hour to swallow 3 pills, one at a time? 5 seconds to swallow the first pill 5 seconds to swallow the second pill 5 seconds to swallow the third pill 15 seconds, maybe less...
If the point of this riddle is to be that technical, then who said anything about swallowing. I can take 3 pills in a couple of seconds max. If they are right in front of me on a table or something, it wouldn't even take me a second.
Yeah, but it said one pill every half hour, so you can't take all three pills at the same time. The key phrase in the question is "how long would it take to take three pills". That's the point of riddles. The most obvious answer is never the correct answer.
You inferred a rule of the riddle from the previous statement. It's there to trick you... it's trick-y (tricky dance) I've lost my mind... I'm going to go sing to my dog now.
