I just don't believe that the personal life should be the target in basketball. It should be from the basketball realm than personal life......but, that's just my opinion.

Low rent behaviour, man. Do it to someone who deserves it more like Stephon M.

That is a bogus story if I ever heard one. Okay maybe you did spot him downtown, but I'm not buying the bit about your brother taunting a 6'7" 230lb pro athlete right to his face.

    Artificial,

Lemme guess ...your brother must be all of 15 or 16 years old.

Way to go, taunting an athlete and talking about his family while he is trying to enjoy an off day AWAY from the court.

Sounds like you are very proud of him.

I guess I'm an old school kind of guy. I love the game of basketball, the teamwork and the competition. However, I am not a fan of taunting, poor sportsmanship and classless, tasteless pranks.

Whether its raquetball or scrabble or chess, I give the game my all. If I lose, I don't hate my opponent. And, if I win, I don't gloat. I think the spirit of gamesmanship is lost in some of the "fans."

What you call a tight ass, I call common courtesy.

He's a friggin' basketball player, not someone who murdered your mom.

that is a straight up ******* move, for real.

if he would've punched your punkass brother in the grill, i bet he would've been quick to call an attorney, right? ridiculous.

hey, tell him to buy a ticket and participate in booing, yelling, screaming, whatever. but to harass a man that you don't know while he's trying to enjoy a peaceful night is a straight up b**** move...and i wouldn't have blamed fox if he had slapped your brother like the b**** he was acting like.

I have to say verse is completely right in everything he has to say here. Personally, I wouldn't taunt a player even at a game. But, there is something about the whole thing -- and especially because it is Rick Fox -- that is very funny and strangely satisfying. Complete jerk thing to do, but I enjoy vicariously wallowing in it. :D

Your brother is an ass. Anyone else that does the same thing as your brother is also an ass.

That's all I have to say.

Rick Fox is not my favorite player, either, but he seems human enough. He actually gave Yao some props after their first game. My friend told me that back in 94 after the final game with the Knicks, he and three of his friends pulled up next to Anthony Mason on Richmond. They began to cuss, taunt, and do everithing to piss him off. He said he'll never forget the look on Mason's face. He was angry, but he was restaining himself and he looked more sad than pissed. He just lost a championship and if you remember what a circus Richmond was that night, you can see how it must have effected his mood greatly. He probably came out to get drunk, see some naked women, and drown his sorrow away. And those guys shouldn't have personally attacked the man like that. True fan keeps it in the arena, and a real fan is a courteous fan.

People have been complaining on the radio a lot lately about how
lousy the attendance has been for the Rockets' home games.
I just point to this kind of behavior as one of the many reasons I
have zero desire to subject my children to attending a live game.
Too many people think that buying a ticket is a license to get
'likkered up' and act like complete and total asses. It's shameful,
it's embarrassing, and it's just plain stupid. And it's the same at
Astros games too.. and I have not yet managed to venture out
to the new football stadium, but with all the complaints about beer
prices, it's likely to be the same there too.

The next time a majority of fans at a live professional sporting
event in this country show a high degree of class, diginity, and
genuine sportsmanship while in the arena will be the FIRST time.

And people wonder why attendance is low?

So, kid, you can thank your skateboarding little stoner of a brother
for embarrassing himself, the team, the fans, and this city.

    I hope you're proud.

(frankly though, it does sound made-up, doesn't it? I have not
seen too many popcorn-weenies at the movie house who were
able to count change without the assistance of a machine, much
less be able to put two consecutive coherent words together..)

    ciao

Why would someone do that? Rick Fox is my least favorite player but leave the guy alone. I mean he yes is a basketball player on the lakers and they are playing the Rockets but he is still and human being and he deserves to be treated as such.

I wish the lakers the best of luck....I just hope it is losers luck(You know no injuires, no bad calls that cost them the game, just that the Rockets beat them fair and square).

    Go Rockets!
