Date & Time: 01-16-02 9:50PM Location: Downtown My brother, Scott, works in a cafe/theater establishment. He saw Rick Fox standing alone in the concession, buying some chocolate candy before his movie. And there wasn't a single person around besides an very old lady who worked behind the stand and apparently didn't know who he was, him, and Scott. My brother just dislikes every player in the Lakers team. Scott was about dozen yards away from him. He started to taunt him, "Hey, Vanessa boy, what does it feel like getting whopped?". Well, he gave Scott a glimsp and shook his head and looked away. Scott got closer and continued, "Hey, I'm talking to you, pretty boy.". He finally got irritated and raised his voice, "What is your f--king problem?". And they were stirring at each other for a moment without a word. Then the silence broke when the old lady said bluntly, "Here is your change, sir?". He took the change and turned and walk his way to the theater. And Scott continued taunting, "You want a piece of Shanghai shake!". And he went on and singing the Yao Ming song loud. In the aftermath, I asked him, "Why did you do that, you could lose your job for that!". Hope he didn't ruin his mood for the moive.
hahahha... that is too funny... your bro is a pretty brave boy since Fox is a pretty big dude for normal peoples standards. you should have had your bro poison his popcorn so he will be out against us tomorrow... umm.. oh wait... it will help the Lakers if he aint playing..
hi, You speak like you are proud of your brother. Sometimes I wonder if die hard fan is equivalent to arrogant fan. What would you think if some lakers fan do the same to francis? dragon
Aren't the Lakers staying at the Four Seasons? If only we knew their fake names they use for some early morning wakeup calls.
if that's true i think it's awesome. i seriously doubt it gives any additional motivation to the lakers as i'm sure they're used to taunting. however it's funny as hell because rick fox sure does look like a little prick.
plain stupid. maybe his bro wanted to get into a fight and file a lawsuit to get him out of the minimum wage job. looks like the plan didn't work.
I hate Foxy Boy, but the man was trying to enjoy his movie. It's the most idiotic thing to carry resentment outside the game. What if someone called the brother out for the work he did while he was eating in a restaurant? It makes no sense! He reminds me of those F*ed up Bostonites who will eat sh*t in order to spit at their opponents...
As classless as Fox can be on the court, it sounds like he was pretty classy in that situtation. First, he tried to avoid the situation by just ignoring the stupid @$$hole that was trying to harass him. And then, he still remained level-headed after being called out a second time. Your brother can just be glad that Fox didn't react like a lot of other people would have in that situation. For example, the story would have been a lot more interesting if the harassed player was Charles Barkeley and there was a plate glass window around
Not cool when you do this kind of stuff off the court. At the game this would be okay behaviour. Trust me, no one likes yelling insults to players more then me. I can chant "wife beater", "tyra banks wants a real man like me", etc. with the best of them. Do it at a game, not off the court. I've met numerous players all over the place. I always try to shake their hand and tell them "good luck, but not against the Rockets".
My brother is/was a Lakers fan and we went to see them like 4-5 yrs ago and I met Rick in the his hotel and he was a nice guy, just like most players (including Barkley). To treat a player with such disrespect is stupid. Your brother should be fired.
Then don't beat your wife. Playing on the road is suppose to be a b**** and I fully intend to do so tomorrow night.
