GO RICE! I was glad to hear we pulled out a win this weekend. (The Baylor team shoots kitty cats... really.) Unlike certain other schools, Rice's student athletes do NOT exist for the sole purpose of making money for the school. Some may want a big bowl of Rice, but I prefer STEAK - from a nice juicy steer. (how does it feel to have a neutered, edible mascot? I am currently enrolled at UT, so i can say whatever I want. ) By the way, there are nine keys on my keyring, plus a keychain that is a metal disk and another that is a metal spoon handle. That's the point I want to make. Rice should just stick to academics and leave athletics (the ones that make money) to the big Texas schools. No one likes to see the little guys get run over just for the athletic departments to break even. BTW, Rice comes to Austin in 2002. I guess a check for $200k is worth it. ------------------
