Glen Rice left the floor tonight with an injured patellar (knee) tendon. They don't know how serious it is, but he could be out.

    Great.

Fug it. If were going to lose we might as well lose with our scrubs.

Imagine that...an old guy, with bad feet, who missed training camp, who doesn't practice...getting injured? Damn, how could we have predicted this?

The Chron is reporting that Rice will miss at least two weeks with patellar tendonitis.

sigh :( .....and after that he will need to "re-gain his conditioning", I promise you the 2 weeks will strech out...does this damned cycle ever end?

"Be patient with Rice", they crow.....I will break out my "How long will we be patient with Rice" thread at season's end and see what the reasoning is for being patient with this guy....er!!!

    Rox Front Office Math:

    2wks = 4wks*

*8wks if player has laundry list of other assorted injuries yet undisclosed to ticket buying public.

Great............. comparing it to last season, we have lost basically all our five starters. Francis out, Mobley is playing hurt and isn't that good without Francis, Taylor (I miss him), and now Rice. So our starters are going to be......god, i don't even want to think about it.

I'm pretty sure Rudy will Start Griffin in the place of Rice considering how well Griffin played Garnett the last time we played them. I think he should anyway, but knowing Rudy he will probably put somebody like Walt in the lineup to guard Garnett.... why?? :(

    Thats fantastic!

Let the kids run on the playground I guess.

    Roll call:

    Griffin
    Thomas
    Torres
    Mobley
    Norris
    Morris
    Willis
    Williams
    Lanky
    Cato

    Did I miss anyone?

    :(

Oh god, we now ARE the worst team in history, aren't we?

Seriously, does anyone recall a less talented team?

What I would give do have Cato give us a prototype 2 years ago preseason game. Norris with a repeat of the Indiana game 2 years ago? Kenny Thomas with a repeat of this year's Sacramento game? Eddie Griffin with a bid to make the starting line-up all season? Walt WIlliams to hit a hot streak?

I think Mobley should sit out for a couple ofgames till he's fuly healed.

    We should start this team:

    Norris/Tierre (minutes equally split)
    Torres/Walt
    Griffin/Walt/T-Mo
    KT/Griffin/T-Mo
    Cato/Willis (also split equally)

There's no doubt in my mind that any win with our current crop of players is a fluke. A fluke can be achieved by any combination of any players. Surprise chemistry, effort, defense? Who knows, let's find out how good/bad we are without our 4 top players.

How unlucky can a team get? Francis, Mobley, Rice, Mo-T?

Imagine the Wolves without Garnett, Brandon, Szerbiack, and Joe Smith? The Lakers without Shaq, Kobe, Rick Fox, and Derek Fisher?

This is just too much to even beleive..

    honestly, this IS good

no offense to Rice... an injury to a player is never anything to cheer about and we're shorter on the bench...

but Rudy (I still trust Rudy) will have to finally give Griffin more minutes.

kt should be moved down to SF and griffin given the PF position
