I'm in desperate need of some new music while working. Anyone have any experience with this service? I used it a long time ago when it was listen.com -- got a free month from work -- but that was probably 2-3 years ago. I liked it, but lacked a lot of tunes then also.

Looks like you can still get a free month of it with the right coupon code. Anyone use it?

you get free radio version with comcast subscription. You can listen free or compose your own radios. you can also listen to their 99sec samples of new music and buy them if you like. But I don't see it as vastly different from other free radios like Yahoo music, maybe a tad better.

I don't have the full subscription, so I don't know. If I have to pay money, I would use napster anyway.

I tried it a few months ago and really liked it. I think out of all the subscription music services they had the best setup and the best selection in my opinion.

I really like their playlist options.

I've had it for a long time (probably a couple of years). I use it nearly everyday at work and I love it. It doesn't have everything , but I'm not disappointed very often.

Even when they don't have the song I'm looking for I can at least find it in the database and get the information on it. Sometimes if you listen to the artists 'radio' the song you're looking for will be one of the songs they play even if it isn't available for on demand listening.

I could've saved tons of money growing up if something like this had been available. I get my fill of listening to music this way for only 9.95 a month. I feel great when I listen to an artist's new album and I'm glad I didn't buy it, but I can still listen to the music anytime I want.

They even have some comedy albums, soundtracks, etc.

I have the musicmatch software installed, but I don't like it as much and I have not subscribed.

ive had it for over 2 years now and i love it. i mention any chance i get around here.

they pretty much have everything by everybody except the beatles, led zep. they even have alot of independent label's music up there.

its $9.95/month. you can download songs for like .79 per song, but ive never done it.

its great if you work infront of a computer all day. just cue up the music you want to hear and let it go. ive discovered so much new music since ive had this. the only downside is that when i go record shopping i have a hard time buying new music now b/c i always think "well, this is on rhapsody so i shouldnt buy it".

I've used it a couple of times as qualifying referrals for my free flatscreen(still need 3 more) and loved it. It helps pass time at work and is great when I'm wanting to relive my musical past.

I have it. I like their playlist options. True it doesnt have everything. Some of the real popular tracks arent available for on demand listening like mentioned above.
I'd like to compare it to Napster. I've been told with napster you can transfer your playlist to your mp3 player at no download charge. I dont think you can do this on rhapsody with out downloading the songs @ 79 cents each.

Can someone clarify this Napster vs. Rhapsody debate?

    Thanks!

I love Napster. I signed up for their 14 day free trial and continued on with a paid subscription. Basically, for 9.95 a month you can download as many of their songs as you want onto your computer and listen to them, regardless of being online or offline, as long as you continue your subscription. If you want to put the songs on a MP3 Player (iPod doesn't work...) it is 14.95. You can't download ALL of their music under this subscription, as it seems like certain record labels make you pay .99 cents to listen to the song regardless...But I would say at least 90% of their songs can be downloaded on the 9.95 subscription plan. Everyone gets a free 14 day trial on Napster, so I'd at least sign up.

I just wanted to say thanks to those who provided feedback - very helpful reviews. I went ahead and signed up to give it a 30-day free trial ... maybe I'll try Napster later, but I do like Rhapsody so far.
