I guess after going to the gas station last night and filling up my jugs for my lawn mower and weed eater, I put my wallet on top of my truck while filling the containers. Luckily, some guy who works at one of the Dominos Pizza here found it on a road and my concealed handgun license has my number on it so he called earlier to tell me he had found it and I can come by the restaurant and pick it up. Now I am not made of money and am especially tight with it since I have a kid now but I feel I should give this guy something for finding and it and not using the cards and information within it for his own personal gain as well as contacting me to let me know. What would be a good amount to give him for his honesty?
this is what i was thinking. However, it sort of depends on how much is in the wallet. If you have $200 cash, $20 seems a bit skimpy. If you have $60, $20 seems generous.
Unless you have like $50 plus in the wallet, I'd give him the cash in it. Its a small price to pay for getting it back. $20 isn't bad though either. Then again, he may give it back to you and say his reward was that justice had been served. Spoiler
tell him you really appreciate him for returning the wallet tell him that it's not much, but you want to show your gratitude, give him a $20
