Randy Brickley bashed Ming awhile ago so, a few of us wrote to him. I'm not sure if other people got a response from him. I certianly did. I'm SHOCKED! I didnt expect to get a response. I wrote, whats another phrase for MORON? randy brickly! you know crock about basketball and writing! get off your behind and get a real job! His response, i have a real job, but thanks for the suggestion. and speaking of jobs, your boy went 1 for 4 for 2 points in 28 minutes against the clippers, who start the fearsome michael olawakandi at center, the other day. yao he lost the game on a goaltending call to end the game. punch that ticket for springfield right now. thanks for the note. later, rb.
I usually don't write to sports columnist when they write something that ends up being wrong. I just forward their article back to them and let them stew...
So he's gone from "he will definately be a bust and out of the league in a few years." to "he's no hall of famer" to "haha, look, he had a bad game! i was right after all." what a joke. also, i think yao had 4 points that game.
I got a response from Mr. Brinkley... My email stated that his article suggesting that Yao sucked was such good fiction that perhaps his talents would be better served covering pro wrestling and here's what he had to say... 2 points in 28 minutes on 1 of 4 shooting and he loses the game against the clippers on a goaltending call. he might not suck, but your Mr. Yao isn't as good as he's being built up to be. but thanks for the suggestion, though i'm not much of a wrestling fan. as for your selling newspapers assessment, if they're using me to sell them, then we're all in a lot of trouble. but thanks for taking the time to write. later, rb.
Who the hell is Randy Brickley? A writer who doesn't have a shift key on his keyboard? Some guys just can't admit when they're wrong.
Just file this a-holes email address away for the time being and make sure we ALL remember him at the end of the year. I have a feeling Yao's numbers will be impressive enough to shut this moron up for good.
You know the sad thing is that this clown was probably sitting at home praying Yao had a bad game. Then when he struggled in the Clippers game I can see him jumping up and down and getting excited and saying "yes now I can make a smart @ss remark in my e-mail!" And the fact that he copied his e-mail and sent it to everybody tells you all you need to know about the guy. I mean why bother with a hack?
