Anybody use em? Recommended brands? Recommended workouts with them? Looking to use them as a short-term weight-training replacement for the near future. Thanks in advance.
^ I'll go with this guy, who is being serious, by answering: Molotov is pretty good if you're into Spanish. Their album "¿Dónde Jugarán las Niñas?" was a satirical title against tree-huggin' Maná. Right, underoverup?
I had a "Bodylastics" set a long time ago, but it didn't last me very long. The part where the band connects to the harness slowly wore/tore on pretty much every band. Just a small tear is enough to cause anxiety though, never know when it'll snap. Thumbs down. I'm not sure if the individual bands they sell at sporting goods stores deal with the same issue. They're built a little differently, so maybe not, but i still decided to go with something like this: They don't have fancy handles, but sometimes you just have to man up and deal with it. You'll be fine, if you use some gloves. Plus, the resistance felt is more consistant, since there's no break in it. you're literally holding on to it, while with the other ones it breaks at the handle. These are also much tougher. They can be expensive, but if you search on ebay for "B" grade ones, you can get a good assortment for less than 45 bucks (retail would be double or more). B grade ones work just as well, but they have aesthetic imperfections. Instead of using door anchors, i just loop them around a pole/gate outside.
Hmm, a literal search for "b grade bands" won't work now that i think about it, but here's a link to one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/360449360674?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 This seller is Stretchwell, Inc. That's the only seller I've bought from. Search their store to see what else they have.
