Hell yeah. He is an available free agent still. Why are posters giving Von Wafer the heave-ho, already?

Some suppose that there could be bad blood between Wafer and management.

Wafer because management didn't seem to value him earlier in the summer. Management because Wafer had attitude problems at times.

There is no way Tony Allen is replacing Wafer. The guy is a greater offensive liability then Battier and we are all entertaining trading Battier for a more offensive gifted young player with potential. e.g) Fernandez

Tony Allen almost single handly cost the Celtics game 5 or 6 against the Bulls in the 1st round last year by being in the game at the very end. The bulls could double pierce by leaving Tony Allen open.

The only positives he brings is his defence which is totally useless here... and definetly not replacing Wafer.

I think Morey has made it abundantley clear he will NOT overpay for just about anyone. He probably has a strict cap line he is positioning himself under for future flexibility.

That's certainly an odd way of saying that Les and Morey are smartly avoiding the classic mistake that so many NBA teams have made, under similar circumstances, which is to panic and acquire a costly all star, usually one that's past their prime, yet still earning maximum dollars. Nor are the Rockets going to kill their 2010 cap room unless the player is very special and still in their prime.

    No Allen please.

I'd take Flip for the vet min, or Nate for the right price. I think Nate will ask for too much though.

Surely, others notice the irony here.

Nearly everyone has cried for years about this team needing an athletic wing with size, shooting and the ability to slash to the basket. Meanwhile, Battier, Hayes and past guys like David Wesley were trashed due to them being "one-dimensional" or "an offensive liability."

Then Von Wafer comes along and satisfies most if not all of the needs that fans have wanted from a SG for years. Instead of being happy, many fans here are crying and complaining about his lack of "basketball IQ" or his "poor defense" Now we even have people wanting to replace him with another defensive player who brings little to no offense to the table.

    Gotta love it.

I know.Plus the guy is young and cheap. I mean even if you gave wafer 3 yrs at 2m per, he's still a bargain and a easy to move contract. I don't know how long you have been here, but I've been b****ing and whining a out this for awhile and all I heard is with Yao and tracy you need spot up shooters. Wrong! You need guys who can not only shoot the 3, but slash when the chance occurs and also run the break. The only guy that can do that effeciently right now is Von. Not only that, he can score off the bounce which only brooks can do right now aside from tracy. I don't understand why anyone would want to replace wafer with tony allen. Not only that, wafer has shown he will take a big shot. Truly amazing.
