no... it doesn't seem like it's been that long.

all of the pictures and videos online, on tv, and radio... man... it's really can't help but to get choked up in all of it. it pretty much brought my my initial reaction to everything... extreme hatred and scorn for those who thought that peace was the answer after something like that.

    ugh.

it's hard to "want" to remember this, but without a doubt... it IS truly necessary. :(

Nope. I said 2-3 years ago. :p I'm in Austin now getting my MBA. (But I might be back in the general area -- NOT NYC -- after graduation.)

I remember being in homeroom , freshman year and at the time it was kind of like the initial ramblings like "a plane reportedly has crashed into the world trade center", etc.

then as the day went on, and a few intercom announcements from the dean later, i realized it was much more than "just" a plane hitting the WTC :(.

i must have spent the entire evening just glued to the tv set, watching the images of planes slam into the towers, time after time again.

    a horrific day :(

its weird cuz it seems like so long ago, but the more you think about it, it seems like it happened just last week...

I thought of this line you wrote watching the final scene of the ABC Special which showed a man stumbling home through the dust and debris in the aftermath of 9/11....

    Okay, I'll give my take.

Monday night, I was visiting my friends that were still in high school. They were recording a board meeting at the Cy-Fair instructional building on Jones Rd. I was sitting there with a few friends eating their catered food. We had plans to go Smackdown! the next evening. I was pretty excited because I haven't seen them in a while.

Next morning, the tv on my living room is on real loud. I was like damn man, why does my dad have the tv on so loud. I don't think it was loud, but it just seemed that way. The second plane had already hit the tower. By this time, they were already talking about a terrorist attack. I went to the restroom to put my contacts on, and watch, and I got on my computer. I went to all those news sites. I even went to ESPN.com. I remember their top news story wasn't the upcoming NFL season, but the image of a plane hitting the tower.

I know every channel was broadcasting the news. That includes MTV, VH1, TNN. They had CBS going. I think USA had NBC, and so on, except for Nickelodean and Disney. Which had regular programming, which was fine because Kids.. ya know, it would be hard to explain it to them.

I had an offday from work, and no class on Tuesays. It was shocking. I couldn't believe what I was watching. Stuff like this of this magnitude never happens, atleast not on our soil. And here it is happening on our soil. All day, i just had a weird feeling. By noontime, the traffic was sorta busy. It wasn't afternoon or morning rushhour, but it wasn't empty. People were steadily going home.

I went to my old high school to talk with my friends, and see if they were okay. They had a tv on watching it. I saw some parents take their kids home.
One of them had a half day so we went out and just did some stuff. We didn't know what to do.

I found out that Smackdown got postponed until Thursday.

Seeing the look on the faces of these people, no matter what race, or ethnicity, or religion put me in a bad mood. It was bad.

    Check this out.

I watched alot of the CNN coverage today and what really got me is seeing victims names and ages. There were 3 year old kids and others fresh out of college makes me sick.

I'll never forget that day, there are some moments that I'll never forget but I really don't think I'll ever forget that whole day.

What I'll remember most is getting home from school and football practice. Than turning on the TV and every channel having coverage of the attacks. MTV ESPN etc etc. I didnt sleep at all just watched the news the whole day until school the next day I even wore the same clothes the next day. I pray that I'll never see that again b/c its obviously devasting news.

I've lost a good friend to the war recently to the war. I know its 9/12 now but lets not forget all of the men and women at war many of them are there b/c of 9/11 and its affect on them.
