I believe it was the year we took Robert Horry. Fans hooted and hollared. They held up posters and signs, hoping and praying that the Rockets would take Harold Minor! True the Rockets would have had a slam dunk champion, but no championships. Since that day I have had a lot of confidence in the Rockets draft choices. The next year the Rockets took Sam Cassell. Mobely also turned out to be a surprise, at least to all the teams that passed on him. I think the Rockets are great on draft day, and I think a lot of it also has to do with Rudy getting the most out of his players. Look at What Mario Ellie did for us compared to what he has done before and since. Look at what Rudy got out of Charles Jones, Chucky Brown, etc. Sure there have been some errors here and there, but overall I think the Rockets get an A- when it comes to draft day moves. I have great faith. ------------------
I think Clutchcity.net has increased the knowledge of Rockets fans on prospective draft picks, well basketball knowledge in general. Is Wallace the second coming of Minor? ------------------
Joe Joe- You are right about ClutchCity.net helping to educate. The site is great. I don't know if Wallace is the second coming of Harold Minor or not, but it seems like everytime I try and analyze draft picks I fail. I thought Donyel Marshall would be better than Glenn Robinson. I guess Marshall has done ok at Utah, but before that he may have be one of the biggest draft busts ever. ------------------
I dunno but I saw this guy do a one handed wind mill on the run. Thats amazing. If he stayed until his junior year I know he could have been a top 3 pick. ------------------ President of the Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford,Larry Hughes, and Charles Woodson fan club.
