Here is a good example of something I like to say. Different faiths got together to meet, discuss, and celebrate some of what we all have in common.

I love seeing these kinds of things. This was the first time this meeting was held in the U.S.

One of the things I like about it, is that it wasn't a contest of who is more right than the other guy, and all the dogmatic crap that sometimes gets in the way.

Nothing will be settled until the various religious groups engage in a "Holy Cup" soccer tournment to settle their differences. The winner gets Afghanistan...

G-Town has always been one of the more open minded catholic schools because they are run by jesuits, the more liberal open-minded side of the catholic church. They were the first university to have a full time muslim chaplain as well.

However, there are still a few of the little things that are less up to date, such as no contraceptives sold on campus (but you can get them from free from a pro-choice group). And every once in a while, some intolerant chimps muck it up by defacing a menorah, a muslim prayer room or killing a student because of being gay.

Any experience with Inter-Faith Ministries here in Houston? It's cool like that.

LOL! You don't have to admit it, even if it's true. :)

Yes, I have, and they are wonderful.

My mother recently started a Jewish-Muslim women's dialogue group here in Houston that is beginning to attract women of both cultures to discuss what makes their religions unique and explore ways of peaceful coexistence.

That is really nice. But it is gosh darn too bad that everyone of the wrong religion will spend eternity in hell. Oh well. :)

Before the Zionists arrived to colonize Palestine, the Jew, Muslim, Christian, and Hindu all lived in peace together in the Middle East

This might be a good time to encourage Rhester again to talk to some Buddhist groups in Houston. Not that he needs any encouraging to talk about faith. :D

This is exciting, I would love to do that, you may have already given me suggestions, or others have, but could someone once again steer me toward a group I could talk with.

When discussing religion D&D is not that profitable. I would rather listen, seek understanding, then express my own faith. This way I gain and I give.

    Win-win
