Reinstalling Windows

    Hi all,

    What exactly do I have to do to uninstall a copy of windows 7 and reactivate on a new machine?

    I installed a copy of windows 7 on a new macbook pro via bootcamp but I'm going to return the macbook pro for a macbook air and then re-install windows 7 on that machine.

    Do I have to call to uninstall AND to reactivate?

    If it is a retail copy, I believe you can reinstall and activate.

    If OEM copy, I believe you are out of luck.

    Not 100% on that though.

    I don't have to deactivate the old copy first?
