i don't want to make any predictions. i just want to gauge how our team will play. i feel we've downgraded a bit as a team since artest was with us, because yao isn't healthy and we are a little worse defensively. like it or not, ron artest was the perfect wingman next to yao, since he could hit the outside shot and had a bulldog mentality. it remains to be seen if kevin martin can replicate what artest did for us that season, but he's got a shot.
With Yao back in the fold, I believe this team will improve by 13 games. My prediction for the season 55-27. I'm not overly concerned about Yao getting 24 minutes as long as it is 24 quality minutes i.e. when he is on the court, he is active and the focal point of the attack. Yao is likely to be swarmed, but with quality guys at the other spots we should be able to convert those plays at an improved rate and force teams to pick their poison. Defensively in the last minutes, Hayes, Battier, Yao, Lee and Lowry should get us home in most situations.
I think the Rox will win 50 and I also think I will post more than 15 polls...but most of them will be in Hangout
50 wins No trade for Melo May be a trade for a borderline star at the 2 or 3 Hopefully Yao stays healthy we finish 6th or 7th seed in the west we can make it to the WCF unless it's the Spurs or Lakers that we meet before
Probably 49-52 wins, barring Yao coming back to full strength and going 'Red Dragon' on the league. Depending on how the West fares this season, we could be the 8th seed or shoot up to 4th.
