Sure its great for any team, but how much is it worth? How much would you be willing to spend to bring that here? Is he a player worth going over the salary cap for? I don't think so.
I see, so what you are saying is that the players we need are players which we cannot possibly get without trading either yao or tmac? I mean hell i want wade and lebron on the team with arenas backing up skip, but it ain't gonna happen. In fact, i'll say it right now, there is NO PF in the league which we can reasonably get better than reggie evans. anyone disagree, post the name and the realistic scenario of how we get that player, and please don't do the iverson got traded for this, so of course any trade is possible, that is just PIPE.
Didnt someone just say the day of Kelvin Cato at power forward is over? Darko I'd take a chance on. Not sold on Chris Wilcox. Athletic but doesnt block shots and isnt the defensive force he'd appear to be.
impossible, rockets have no one that seattle needs, battier plays the same position as durant, skip is worse than ridnour & earl watson, head would be useful, but nothing that they can't get cheaply on the FA market. They actually need a post presence, so the only person they would really be interested in would be Yao Ming. Wilcox is pure PIPE
I never seem to understand why you guys want a better PF... I hope you all havn't forgotten about chuck hayes?:S The guy is a menace on the court. And you still want to replace him. Stupid fouls, and better positionning is easy in the offseason. Unless you're looking for a taller,Score-first kind of PF, then well alright. Go for it. But i think we're good where we are with chuck hayes at the 4. Hustle, very speedy for the position and can guard the big men on the perimeter(Okur in the playoffs...though i still think they shouldve put juwan on okur, and hayes on boozer...but thats a diff. story) All im trying to say is that chuck hayes fits very well at our 4, and is probably a good mix for Rick's "Higher Tempo" talk.
Wilcox is a rebounding force but sometimes he lays a goose egg. His coach said that he has the physical ability to be an All-Star but he doesn't have it upstairs. He would however, be a servicable PF to block out and rebound. He'll give you 10-12 ppg and sometimes he'll rack up a 20 ptg. He'll consistently give you 80-10 RPG. That's not bad in my book.
