I think this year, we should leave the picking up to the research and diligence of the GMs. Lets not publish ranked lists of the players available as in past years. The good GMs will research the potential draftees, and will be rewarded. Dont do their work for them.

The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. And if someone asks me why i didn't get more meat, ill just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where ive hidden it. Good magic trick, huh?

I too like the mystique of people finding gems on their own.

I think I agree. If you need stats on a player, however, you should be able to request them from cat.

Lastseason we had all stats available - and I thought there was a lot of surprising picks anyway. So having stats will not make the draft go by a script - and as it will be asked so many stats anyway it will speed things up.

ok, well can you just do stats only?
like an alphabetical list of players with stas, not divided up into position, and certainly NOT RANKED!!!!!

yeah that was my idea to just put stats into the draft pool table as it stands now - are you cool with that or do you want me to do the alphabet thing. At the moment they are sorted by the team that gave them up - first all atlantic team, then central, midwest and pacific.

At first I agreed with this idea, but now that I think about it, we should include stats. During the draft, people will be asking Cat for stats anyway, might as well just post the stats so they can be easily accessed. It would make the draft go by faster if we all knew the stats.

People will be asking for stats on individuals, might as well save time and post them on the webpage...

I agree. Post the stats. This hurts the new GM's most---and they're the ones that need the most help.

Why will this hurt new GMs. you can just ask Cat for the stats. He will have all the stats handy from the Sim itself. I just dont like the idea of somebody basically spelling out who you should pick.
