I just heard Ash on the radio say something like "That may have been the best catch Biggio has made all season. Just an amazing play by Biggio." or something like that..
I'd really like to see them put a few more runs on the board. I don't feel safe turning this thing over to the bullpen with a 5-1 lead.
the cubs won 21 in a row in 1935. the A's 20 game winning streak a season or 2 ago is the AL record. the cubs (or whatever they called the chicago team) also won 21 in a row in 1880 and the giants had a 27 game undefeated streak in 1916 but had a tie in there somewhere (edit: they had winning streaks of 12 and 14 separated by a tie). so we just need to add an 11 game winning streak on top of this 11 game winning streak and we've got the record. oh, and on baseball tonight last night they said the astros are the first team (maybe just NL) since 1895 to win 11 games in a row while scoring at least 6 runs in every game. if we can score one more today and win we'll tie that team's 12 game winning streak with at least 6 runs. so enjoy this once every 109 years streak everybody.
