I'm hoping we'll get the early season Miceli back soon. His time off may have allowed his arm to recuperate well and give us a reliable arm in front of Lidge.

Edit: And if Wade Miller is able to pitch some in relief, that'd be nice too.

Lidge looked terrible according to gameday... I don't recall seeing any pitches in the strike zone in the last two at bats.

Lidge escapes. No harm no foul. :)

What is absolutely disgusting about Lidge is that he struck out Castro in 7 pitches without ever throwing him a strike (according to gameday). His stuff is that filthy.

lidge hasn't been as good lately but luckily his sucky is still good enough. crazy seeing 3 consecutive guys pitch 1/3 of an inning.

oh well, offense did what it had to and the pitching did what it had to, 12 in a row.

The 2 series that scare me the most are the upcoming series @ Pitt, and the three game series @STL. Hopefully the Stros can land that Wild Card spot because anything can happen.

Wow. I never would have imagined a month ago that we could possibly hold a claim to the Wild Card this season. Major Props to the Good Guys. :)

The Cardinals could not beat us now. In fact, if we sweep the Cardinals we could still take the division ;) The magic number is still 9 for them so they have not clinched anything just yet. I will not fear them. They should fear us.
