I am physically sick to my stomach. Should have gotten a run when they had runners on 1st and 3rd with no out. Should have taken Pedro out before the 8th. Eh. I'm praying for the Yankees team plane to crash. Go Marlins.
Word- I didn't even really care who won as long as it ended like that. I can't wait for the sports guy article ripping up the Boston coaching decisions...
Woohoo go Yanks. I would hate to see the Red Sox in the world series, glad that wont happen. So the Red Sox and Cubs get soooo close but lose in heartbreaking fashion, hmmmmm
think you'd have to end the other curse first, or at least not get pulled in the 4th for sucking, to be the new bambino. the only thing that makes me mad about this game is torre. his little 180M dollar team that still buys him more help at the deadline and he is on the most blessed team ever so he just knows it'll all work out and yet he gets credit for it. it's like phil jackson. man i'd love their jobs. sit on my ass, get paid, and get praise.
I am so tired of hearing about the Yankees buying a team!!! Count how many yankee starters have come up from thier farm club! GET OVER IT!!!! THE YANKEES WIN!!! THAAAAAA YANKEES WIN!!!!!!!!!!
The economic disparity does not only show up in the free agent signings. How about taking on money in trades, how about scouting budgets, how about resigning players, how about latin american academies, etc. etc. etc.
well then i guess they should stop doing it. i mean i'd buy me a title too if i had that tv contract and all that revenue, but it's not like they don't do it.
Worse managerial decision I've ever seen in my life. What the hell was he thinking. As soon as 1 Yankee got on base in the 8th inning Pedro should have been yanked. HE SHOULD BE FIRED!!!! I just don't get it?????
New York Yankees 2003 Opening Day Payroll: $109,791,893 (1st) Boston Red Sox 2003 Opening Day Payroll: $109,558,908 (2nd)
I said to my wife at the top of the 8th. "They're leaving Pedro in too long!" nighty nighty folks! Happy Birthday Nomar!
Um, Pettitte and . . . um, damn, uhhhhhhhhhhh, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. ONE. I really wanted the Sox to win this one. Still, these two series have been freaking awesome. 2 game 7's, it doesn't get any better than that.
Dude, you know better than to use facts against the arguments of Yankee fans. BTW - mc mark, way to completely disregard my point about scouting budgets, which is how you get your "homegrown" talent.
All I can feel is complete anguish. The Sox were 5 outs away. 8th inning. I've seen some great games over the years. 1998 NFC Wildcard, Niners win. 2002 NFC Wildcard, Niners win. The Rocket's Finals years. The Red Sox playoff games this year. But the anguish is nothing like I've ever felt. Much worse than Stockton's 3-pointer. Worse than niners loss to Atlanta in 98. And Packers in the 3 previous years. Man, the game was right there. There's always next year. RSN forever.
like it really needs to be said again, and i know it adds nothing to the discussion, but nevertheless . . . i ******* HATE the yankees and everything that has anything to do with them
