First off I want to say I think it's a great idea and now with 70 of ya'll plus I am sure many more for big games in that section it's gonna add a ton of atmosphere to gamenight at the TC.

I have season tickets in row 10 of section 113 just down and over from you guys and I can say man I love the spirt but ya'll have got to get organized. With that many folks chanting it can sound great but last night everyone was so off key on the Yao Ming song it just sounded bad.

Go Rockets Go should only be used when we play the Spurs since it's their chant and we need to drown out those Spur fans who seem to make it into the TC.

My buddy and I brought a Greek flag in last night and we were cracking up when the "we love greece" chant started that was great and spur of the moment. Something the rowdies here on clutchfans can do is a little research on opposing players and mix in one of those personal attack chants (just keep it clean) to go along with all the "Go Rockets" or "personal players chants"

Just remember as long as everyone is on the same page and it's not just flat out silly others will follow, I can gaurantee that to be a fact!

Everyone in the arena has at one point been up on their feet screaming for the Rockets and as long as it becomes fun again to do so they will.

Go Rockets and keep it up guys!

I will do my best to get folks around me up and rowdy.

Also I was in my shirt and tie from work last night this does not mean someone is not a huge fan. If I had a chance to go home you would of seen me in a Rockets jersey so don't let people's apearence fool you. I think Houston wants to get loud. Hell after the season we endured with the Astros and the current Texans campain our Rockets are our only hope as of now!

one more thing a personal chant for every rocket player after they do something big or they are shooting free throws would be bad ass!

Chants or signs to be used when a certain player is shooting FTs is a must.

I'll be there for 10 games - row 23 on the aisle.

I got a good one for Shane Battier...I just made it up.

    How about: "Who's your daddy...Batty-eh!"

    Good, huh!!

EDIT: Stolen from the nick-name thread, for V-Span, when he's shooting free-throws or something.

    "V - S - P - N ...dah, dah, dah....dah, dah, dah" - hey, could get you on sportscenter

You know you guys were on TV last night, right? They showed you for about 5 seconds when V Span came in.

why don't you just put a jersey in your car before you leave for work so you can bring it to the game when you get to the TC

Yeah we saw you holding the Greek flag. That was awesome. Bring the international flavor into an NBA arena. The NBA needs more of that.

Yeah, I would have to agree, the Red Rowdies need to listen more than anything to the beats. We have done a poor job of staying with the music the past 2 games. The key is just listening and not doing your own thing.

I think you guys are doing an excellent job! If I could hug each and everyone of you, I would.

The Yao Ming song was great! And the Greece flag was a great idea as well.

I like the VSPN...da da da...da da da... chant suggested. That's a good one.

Just a sggestion on something I think yall could do:

I think on opponents free throws and late in close games...when the opposing team has the ball, yall should do the "Dukies" jump up and down thing yelling "oooooooooo". People will definitely hear you in the arena and on the tv when they are watching the game. It will bring more attention to you guys nationally...and that in part will intimidate other teams when they see us on their schedule. I think the greatest sign of success that you guys can bring is intimidation. I can see it now:

KG: "Damn! Mike...we going to your hometown tomorrow. Their fans jump up and down like college dog!"

    Mike James: "Like Duke?"

    KG: sigh..."yep..."

Well im a member of the rowdies of the dynamo called El Batallon. and what we do is we go to the tailgate and practice there. then all at once we go in singing chants at the same time and jump up and down the whole time. I wasn't able to make it to the First rowdies thing but hopefully can make it to the audition at dave and busters. Is there an age limit?

I think that if canned music is played over the PA system then they should follow the fans, not the other way around. Ideally you could bring in your own drums and take care of the beats yourself. And if that's already what's happening then ignore this post.

I think that's a great idea.. maybe its because DUke is my favorite team.. I enjoyed watching the crazy Fans jump up and down as much as I enjoyed Redick's crazy shooting ( too bad he is with the magic, but forget him , we have Novak ;) )

We definitely need to bring the Dukie thing. I suggested that once to a fellow Rowdy and he didn't seem interested.

Another thing we need to do is the "Swoosh" thing on free throws. Leave your hands up while a Rocket player shoots free throws, and after he makes it, scream "swoosh" and drop your hands down quickly.

I also think we should bring back the Jeff Van Gundy Madison Squard Garden chants: "Jeff-Van-Gundy! Clap - clap - clap clap clap".

as much as i hate duke i love how their fans get into it. heck well all of college since all the students feel they are part of the team because in a way they are. the jumping up and down and all would be an awesome idea and it could just work and get some more people into it since you would have a group of people in one area doing it. the only reason why it may not take off is if older people and all in the lower bowl dont like to jump up and down but they can still "ooooooo" all they want.

Section 114, behind the Rockets basket about halfway up, starting at row 17.

You have to be over 18 to be a Rowdy, but you should call D&B for their age limit.
