I wouldn't underestimate Tilman's impact on the future of this team. Fish rot from the head down. This team looks like something Tilman would put together. Some yes men just grateful to be given an opportunity always feeling like they're indebted to their savior. And would you look at that KPj and Co also look like some yes men just grateful to be given an opportunity....etc. The actual people who can make an impact on organizations don't tolerate this stuff. They just leave to go to places where the ownership isn't intimidated by them.

It was his initial involvement with the Russ/CP3 deal that set us on this downward spiral.

Until they move Gordon and get a real PG on the floor, things will not be consistent. Gordon is so checked out it messes up the chemistry out there. He is not putting forth the effort to contribute to winning right now and I can understand why. He HATES playing with all these kids (we can then move KMJ in SF spot and Tari as backup)s. KPJ at PG is an experiment to see how it looks. He is a natural SG, not a PG running a team. Eventually we will bring in a real PG that will help things run smoother. Until those two things happen we will be a inconsistent team. Gotta let these things happen in time..

Why? Because the organization is suppose to develop these players. Having KPJ playing Hero Ball is not developing. Not having a point guard to call plays but being selfish. TyTy and Christopher not playing. Sengun not being passed the ball while posting up. Jabari not getting the ball enough. We are not developing our players we are just losing…. to HOPE we will get the 1st pick. The last two years we had the worst record and did not receive the first pick. Remember…..Hope is not a Strategy!

I was going to disagree on how our rebuild is going but how can I disagree with someone who posts indisputable facts like these?

Okay. I changed my mind. I can't help but point out these two things.

    1. The Orlando Magic have made it to the playoffs twice since 2013. Each time they were the 8th seed and were first round exits. They have basically spent a full decade in rebuild mode. They also hit BIG on Bol Bol in free agency - which I suppose they deserve some credit for - but I sincerely doubt anybody there would tell you they saw this coming. I do agree that Paolo looks like a better prospect than anyone currently on our roster and that's pretty huge in rebuilding. But again, it took them 10 years to get that guy. We are in year 3 of our rebuild after having been perennial contenders for years.

    2. Name a single guy on the Spurs you would rather have than Jalen, Sengun or Jabari. I don't think you can do it. So they're better because they happen to have the greatest coach of all-time. It's not the talent. Hell, they just had to waive potentially their best player because he can't keep his schlong in his pants, so I hardly envy their position.

    2. Primo is hardly their best player when they had Dejounte and they just had to trade him. I am not sure the Hawks are that much better when it's said and done but okay.

I think the Spurs just realized creeping around Play In places were not getting them top talents longer term.

They traded Dejounte in the offseason. Primo was arguably their best player for the purposes of this rebuild.

If you prefer, I can say they waived arguably the current centerpiece of their rebuild. Dejounte wasn't part of their core moving forward once they decided to wipe the slate and properly begin the rebuild.

Hard to say what Primo could become but Keldon Johnson and Vassell all made a jump and became contributors.

They needed someone better than Primo therefore needed to tank at least to have a chance at Wembanyama.

Going after the number 1 pick.

Sure, like we went for the #1 pick and successfully landed Cade Cunningham....oh wait?

Like when we successfully went after the #1 pick last season and got lucky The Thunder
    passed on Jabari.

Now we are going after Wembanyama....and you think the league will let us
    get him?

You must still believe Santa Claus is real.....and the Easter Bunny
    still makes house calls.

Just for the record, 6103 minutes played by players 22 or younger out of a total of 7490 - That's 81.5%.

That's an incredible amount of minutes going to young players. To put it in perspective, no other team has more than 45% of their minutes going to players 22 or younger.

I think it's safe to say that Silas has his goals aligned with the long term goals of the franchise.

I don't necessarily disagree with you on Nix / EG but you gotta think that these kids do need a veteran on the floor and it is Stone who said, "Nix is a lottery talent".

It's Stone who gave KPJ that extension and hasn't given Silas much of an alternative as a lead guard.

I wouldn't blame everything we see on Silas ....

And honestly, I don't blame Stone for what he's done, either it works out and KPJ is a star or we lose games and get a shot at the top of the draft - while Green, Smith, Eason, KJ & Sengun get some minutes under their belts.

How do we emulate organizations that find and develop great talent? That seems to be the way to be successful. Golden State for example. I’m not just talking about drafting and developing Klay, Steph, Draymond, Poole, etc., but also what they did with Wiggins. Is it just a matter of having the right coaches or is talent development more of a front office thing? Because if there’s supposed to be a synergy there, it doesn’t look like the rockets have that.

Can anyone breakdown how this is best to work?

Y’all are insane. This rebuild is going immensely well. I’m not sure what y’all expect a tanking team to look like.

Uhmm…. Have you ever heard of giving yourself the best odds? Nobody is saying having the worst record guarantees anything but better odds. The worst 4 teams have the equal odds of getting the top pick.

The players don't give a fudge popsicle about odds based on them losing.

Have you ever had a job with pay raises baked in pending your performance
from one year to the next?

These players have incentives, goals, making All Star games, First, Second, Third
team offense or defensive squads. Performance this year gets them closer
to some goals set for next year.

They just need a better coach who can actually make KPJ play point guard, develop the whole team better, and have an actual good playbook.
