Our rebuilding process is not good right now. San Antonio and Orlando are in rebuild process and both of them are better than us. We have players playing out of position, players WHO should not be playing and we need a better head coach. We are falling behind the other rebuilding teams. We need a change! We Need New Set Of Eyes for this team. Our rebuilding process is going downward. -We need a new Coach -We need a Point Guard -TyTy and Christopher needs to play -We need to trade Gordon yesterday(and Tate) -We need to cut Nix -KPJ is a good NBA player but he is not a point guard -Stone you need to get out of your cave, come out and do something.
*Newsflash* this is what rebuilding from scratch looks like. Hilarious how casuals still can’t understand this and think you can fast forward and skip steps. Get used to it. Many of us tried to tell y’all a long time ago. Folks wanted to label the best case scenario for every single scenario. Nah that’s not how it works the correct answer is none of the above because none of those fixes anything significant because it’s called a rebuild
Stay the course. This season is about: *Young facilitators learning NBA offensive play types. *Young facilitators getting timing down with teammates. *Young facilitators understanding time management. *Young facilitators facing different press defenses. *Young facilitators learning opposing teams preferred defense. *Young players learning opposing teams preferred offensive. *Young players learning opposing teams preferred defensive. *Opposing coaches tendencies. *Young players getting fit enough to compete 82 games. *Young players learning opposing teams rim back ground/perception. *All young players tend to be inconsistent (effort)....become a better pro.
Um why can’t we vote for multiple things on this list? year 3 into the rebuild we have some really good talent but it’s clear we are not coaching to their strengths, there’s not much structure or discipline, and the player development is poor. That’s all on the coach. it’s also clear that Stone hasn’t managed the roster well, he hasn’t really bettered the team through trade, he’s held onto assets too long, and he’s built around some questionable players. Plus I don’t see a winning culture or any accountability. I’m worried that we are not gonna develop our talent and that we have no identity or winning culture. I think the only good thing about Stone is how he’s drafted. I can’t find much positive to say about Silas other than he’s a nice guy. If Stone sticks with Silas, they both need to go. I can live with Stone sticking around if we get better coaching. If Stone is micromanaging this team, he’s more responsible for the outcome and needs to go.
I don't understand how the worst coach and worst PG in this league can contribute to a rebuilding process.
Funny how that 2009-2010 team was phenomenal at defense for their lack of height and Hayes starting at center with Scola at PF. We had it easy when our rebuilding years were 42-43 wins.
Heres the scary part that yall dont get it This is only the FIRST attempt at a rebuild. This group as a whole might not be it. The kings are nearing 2 decades of missing the playoffs. They thought they had their guys too with demarcus cousins
thats true they were incompetent as it comes between vivek, vlade and the maloofs. Idk if our trio of poorman, stone and silas are much better though
You offer KMJ, TyTy, and any pick the Hornets want, including this year's pick, for LaMelo: PG: Ball/Porter SG: Green/Mathews SF: Tate/Eason PF: Smith/Garuba C: Sengun/Fernando
if we end up with say the 4th pick I would really consider trading it along with Green and Sengun for Wembanyama and just calling these last 3 years a wash We need a transcendent talent. Look at what Zion and Luka did in their rookie seasons and tell me with a straight face we have that on this team
You couldnt get Wemby if you gave up Green, Sengun, and Jabari. No one is trading Wemby if they land that 1st spot.
thats how I see it too but you know the stans on here arent going to be able to handle that Tbh I would be all in on Scoot too
Step 1 of a rebuild is to get a star player to build around. We don't know if we have found one. So we are still in step 1. This can be completed via draft, trade or free agency. But sometimes a star takes a bit of time to begin to shine. While searching for a star (and seeing if any cream rises to the top), asset accumulation is key, which means playing guys who may not be ideal to see what they have and what they might be flipped for. Step 2 of a rebuild is to find a second star. So if your patience is wearing thin already... ummm....
agreed and I don’t think anyone is trading Scoot either. Given how bad we are, the focus should now be shameless tanking; going all out for a top 2 pick. plus now we don’t have to be upset with Silas’ coaching or KPJ’s point guard skills.
