I was responding to the my part of Rimrocker's quote. However, she never once used a note or teleprompter in that 10-minute acceptance.
I just went back and watched video of the speech. You can clearly see her shuffling papers and frequently looking down at the podium. The speech was written by McCain's speech writer ahead of time before the pick was made, then slightly updated, and finally handed to Palin for her to make some changes.
