How was his defense tonight on Devin Harris, did he force him left? Or maybe make him shoot jumpers?

And he is a one man momentum killer, every fricken game he makes a dumbass play at the wrong time...tonight...a pull up 3 pointer on the break.....WTF????

    Rafer is horrid.

The huge mistakes that Rafer made tonight ... terrible turnover on a lazy pass on a fast break - cost the Rockets 4 points there.

Took terrible shots early in the shot clock. Probably cost the Rockets 2 or 3 points there.

He can dribble but he can't create. There is a huge difference. Look at Dallas' Harris.

Rafer did OK offensively tonight but was schooled by Harris on the other half

The best they could do down the stretch is find rafer open for a three.

Now it could have worked tonight.. a win yay?? noo it's consistant.. and relying on rafer hitting that three down the stretch is not what championship teams are made of... or serious teams. Is this all Adelman can find is Rafer open for a shot? Where is the plays?? We could have won tonight but are we a championship team?? How many games are we going to win if we rely on Rafer taking the open three in important moments? Another coaching issue I have

Anyone who is blaming Rafer for THIS loss should just say they hate him and not post anything pg related for our team. he was by far our best pg. He';s been horrible and the sad thing is those behind him have been worse. Tonight, he played pretty well. Nobody on our team could stay in front of harris. if you can name a guy we have who can guard him or another quick pg for that matter let me know because I'd love to see it.

Has one year away from the game made a difference in RA's coaching abilities? Or has the rules change that much the RA's is also trying to catch up that he has just decided to run the old JVG's offense till he gets going.

I for one am hopefull still that Morey will make some trades to fix this nightmare of an offense.

Thank God we finally have a loss that can't be attributed to Rafer. With a performance like this, he's likely earned himself another 2 years of starting at 40+ minutes per. My favorite part was the ESPN announcer saying this may be a "turnaround game" for Rafer. Yes, ESPN guy, I'm sure it will be. I'm confident the last 8 years were a fluke.

Here's the thing for me, I am not going to blame Rafer for the loss. We missed some crucial free throws and made some poor decisions down the stretch. Do I think we would have had a better chance had it been Steve in the game, maybe, but it wouldn't define a win or a loss. This game was a close one, to me it was just the team who made the fewest mistakes won. We played well, it's just not all there yet. With that said, since this is a Rafer bashing thread: I think what really drives me bonkers is when Rafer does shoot the three. i wish he would just stick to his strengths.

Yep. What I tab "BF" -- the "bonehead factor". Unfortunately, he isn't the only one introducing it into the Rockets game. (See Bonzi's passing, T-macs jump shots -- when in the pregame comments he said he was going to go to the basket instead of settling for jump shots -- and multiple players inability to finish at the rim, etc.) If I had the stamina (or desire) to watch a tape of the game again I'm sure I could add to the list.

There is a dimension to this that is like a person addicted to gambling. He gets on a roll and thinks he can do no wrong, but the odds catch up to him. Most notably, T-mac, Rafer and Head seem most susceptible to this. When T-mac is on a roll he starts shooting more jump shots. He does have some basis to expect it to continue. But in a game against a top tier team it is still a mistake. With Rafer about 7 times out of 10 it's a mirage.

I am a Rafer basher for life. I hate the b*stard's play w/ a passion. How the hell does any damn coach allow this jackass to start on this team? Adelman is an idiot for allowing this to go on. Hell, it's sad to say, but I wouldn't mind seeing Francis start in front of the Reefer. He is the biggest piece of NBA dogcrap to ever step on an NBA court. Go back to your Rucker Park, you P.O.S.

Morey, please read my sig and decide what the hell to do w/ him.
