Instead of this Odom and 2 picks for the #1, why don't we change the deal a little. Houston deals: #1 KT EG #15 Clippers deal: Odom Brand #8 The Clips get rid of Odom's baggage and they get to avoid paying big bucks to Brand next summer (since spending money seems to be the one thing they like to avoid). They get EG, who could be another Brand, and they get to have Jay Williams whom they seem to be in love with. We get Odom, who is a playmaker who doesn't need a lot of shots, but we hedge against his possible breakdown by getting Brand who is everything we hope Eddie will be. We can also use #8 to draft a backup 4/5 (Hilario please?). Here's our team. Steve/Mooch Cat/Steve Odom/Rice Brand/MoT Cato/Hilario or Borchadt That would be a pretty damn good team for us. The Clips wouldn't get as sweet a deal as they would get with the the Odom + 8 + 12, but that deal wouldn't get done anyways. We're looking to get more veteran players and the Clips love to avoid paying money, so isn't this a deal made in heaven?
