What will the reaction be when/if the Rockets offer a greater contract to Shandon FREAKIN Anderson than they are to Hakeem Olajuwon?

In my opinion, there will be a lot of backlash. If Olajuwon misses 60 games, he's still more valuable to the team than a SA who plays a full season.

Rockets need to come to their senses and increase their lowball offer to Hakeem. Without Hakeem, this is not a playoff team next year. With Hakeem, it could be a top 4-5 team in the West.

All the Rockets have to do is offer Hakeem 2 yrs, 12 MIL and he will sign most likely. They would still easily have room to sign Taylor, Shandon, and Moochie Norris. He's not asking for David Robinson, Mutombo or Antonio Davis money guys. All he's asking for is Todd McCullough money. No one can tell me he is not worth Todd McCullough money.

Have you guys forgotten what the Rockets looked like when we were 22-25 last year before Hakeem finally got Rudy to play him more minutes? It was not a pretty sight. We were a porous defensive team and really came together when Hakeem started to get minutes. Why would we not want to keep that momentum going into next year? So stiffs like Shandon Anderson and Matt Bullard can get overpaid?????

I'm very very dissapointed that the Rockets are offering Hakeem 2 yrs $8 MIL when they have the capspace to accomodate a $6 MIL per year deal with great ease. If that means losing a scrub like Shandon or Bullard, then whooptie doo.
