Ray Insane?

    The thing is, they'd be more than happy to give him 10M a season like Steve. They'll even settle for 15M a season eventually. But the issue here is that he is not worth HIS Max, while Steve may have been worth that when he signed his contract.

    If allan houston can get that kind of contract for his game then i bet there are some teams who would be willing to give him that kind of contract. Allen is 5 times the player houston is and he is more fun to watch.

    Allan Houston's contract is generally regarded as the biggest mistake in the long string of massive bungles by the Knick organization. I don't think we can use that signing as a comparison to Ray Allen's situation.

    Very few players are worth much money. Duncan, Yao, Garnett, Kobo, Me-Mac, Shaq and Dirk are the only ones, probably, that will get one everywhere.

    But since Dampier or Carlos Loozer get big money, better player will ask a lot too.

    Sometimes I look at Houston's contract numbers and I wonder what the hell they were thinking.
