Well, Valio's solved all of our problems. That's what the Rockets should do: keep trading the same players to teams all over the league. Hell yes they're dumb enough to fall for it. Michael Jordan: "So you're willing to trade me Pippen... for a second-round draft pick...??!?! Rudy: "Yes. Pippen for your 2nd rounder." Jordan: "I didn't know you guys still had Pippen. I thought he was a Blazer." Rudy: "Well, if you don't want to make the trade then...." Jordan: "No no! No! I was just kidding. OK, OK, we'll make the deal." BrianKagy, will you please ban me? I am tired of posting here. [This message has been edited by BrianKagy (edited April 19, 2001).]
Yeah, having the league's 2nd place finisher in technical fouls isn't enough. We have to have #1 AND #2. ------------------ Founding Father of the Refs Suck Club
No way will Portland trade a franchise player like that for anything less than Mobley, and Francis. ------------------ President of the Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford,Larry Hughes, and Charles Woodson fan club.

I was watching this guy yesterday against LA...sounds like he's a time-bomb ready to explode (or a "knucklehead" as Charles Barkely called him)...sounds extremely destructive to the unity of that team...I dont think the Rockets need that... ------------------ "I didn't like jr. high when I was there. Wallace is a stud. When someone's that good, he's worth any amount of mischief. In the West, you *must* have a good PF, and Wallace fits that bill. Look, 25 pts, 10 rebounds, good D, bad attitude but few offp-court problems... you wouldn't take that? If not, I'd call you crazy . ------------------ I would believe only in a God who could dance. - Friedrich Nietzsche Boston College - NCAA Hockey National Champions 2001
I side with Haven here. Wallace is amazing. The man can shoot threes better than most players on our team, and thats the weakest part of his game. Additionally, I know there is no way to prove this, but you could count on Wallace not being nearly as problematic here as in Portland. Portland's whole team is a time bomb waiting to explode. Im not saying Wallace wouldnt get his fair share, but Rudy and Co. know how to get players to give their all and with Steve and Cuttino Im sure Wallace would be having a great time. Heck, Id almost prefer having Wallace over Webber, the man is just amazing ------------------ Haha.. you fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is: Never get involved in a land war in Asia. Only slightly less well know is this: Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!
I'd pick Wallace ten times before Webber. ------------------ Well that's it, the season's over. Protrolls.com! I've got message boards up and running, feel free to Troll them.
id have to say that wallace is a big reason why portland self destructed. he creates too much turmoil. there is too much bad that goes along with all the good. i say we just stick with Mo. ------------------ make it stop.
I would love to get Wallace, and it would not surprise me if Portland trades him either, especially if they don't go far in the playoffs, and they think it has something to do with his T's or disruptive influence. But, geez guys, this is a ridiculous conversation, since I don't think Portland wants anyone we've got. Who would we trade them? And since they have deep pockets, they don't need to trade for lesser quality to get under the cap. They will make the best trade possible, and a lot of teams will offer them far better packages than we ever could. ------------------ the more I know, the more I know I don't know...

Jeez, Sherlock, if you apply criteria like that to potential trade talks, this BBS would be as empty as Miami's arena during the 4th quarter of Game 2 the other night. Now, let's talk about my proposed Cato-and-the-13th-pick-for-Michael Finley deal...

DoD, you're on the right track. I'd settle for Cato-for-a-bag-of-stale-Doritos. Assuming the Doritos don't count much against the cap.
