I think that at this point, it's wiser to let him walk and focus on clearing cap room for next season's free agents.

I hope Seattle lets him walk. I am sick of players who are not superstars trying to get paid like they are one.

i hope rashard does go to the mavs. seattle would be out of the playoff hunt. as i see it we would have:

    1. kings
    2. mavs
    3. LAL
    4. SAS
    5. LAC
    6. blazers

then the 7th and 8th spots are up for grabs. rox, wolves, jazz, and sonics would fight for those 2. with seattle out of it, we would just have to beat out 1 of the 2 remaining teams.

hopefully the wolves take the nets offer of KVH, martin, and kittles for KG. they will be a team without a solid go to guy. that would leave us as a lock for the 7th spot.

The Cavaliers have gotten progressively worse each year with Miller.

He couldn't improve the Cavs one game, I fail to see how he'll improve the Clippers.

its not a matter of him winning games for the cavs. not a lot of players could do that. (we should at least agree on that :p )

this gives the clipps some leadership at the point. they didnt need miles with odom, brand and wilcox. instead they got the ball handling that was their downfall to last years playoff run.

good, i hope he leaves seattle. it takes them out of it.

miller makes the clips better but unless everyone else also improves and odom is healthy i don't think they'll be the 5th seed or any higher than us.

to me the rocks, clippers, jazz, and t-wolves wil battle for the last spot.

I am so sick of hearing about Rashard. He needs to take the 60 MILLION DOLLARS and stop whining like a greedy b!tch. He can earn up to 75 million, with incentives, and he is still b!tching about the contract. I knew there was something wrong with him when he started comparing himself to Kobe Bryant.

I'm really starting to dislike him.

Rashard compared himself to Kobe? Gosh, I must have missed a lot in his saga. If he did, I guess it depends on the context, but either way--HE's NOT WORTH THE MAX!

Rashard should take the offer and prove he can consistetly perform at last year's level or above...enuf bout that.

Clips + AM will be dramatically improved. If they sign MO and gel more, they should win another 10-15 games next year easy. They really have a deep young team and AM should be the kind of floor leader to take them to the next level.

KG for 3 Nets? That would be really stupid for MIN. They would have to talk Martin, Jefferson and Collins + more before Wolves would listen to that crap. KVH and Kittles exposed themselves in the play-offs and neither had what it takes to be worthy of KG trade material. Those other three guys would, but doubt capwise it would work.

True and also just because the clippers pick up <iller has no say so on whether they make the playoffs or not--some teams just dont mesh well. And I think this will be one of them

Uh, off_welfare.....now there are three posts by you here. Post it only once, and it'll be there - don't worry.

As for Rashard...I think he's just trying to milk the Sonics for all they can give him. Considering his selfish tendencies in this negotiating process, he probably has no intention of taking Dallas' offer - the money there is nowhere close.

If Seattle gave him more money, he'd sign immediately. Too bad he doesn't realize that he's burning nearly every bridge he had with the Sonics and may find himself without a contract offer from them if he's not careful.

I think he thought the posts weren't showing up at all, so he couldn't use the edit feature.

I think it's interesting how Rashard evaluates the contract by what he'll be making the first year. (Makes sense; I guess we all do that, except we don't have the luxury of 12.5% annual raises and guaranteed contracts). The article says at 60 mil, he'd make 6.25 mil. the first year. Is this right? Mo made about 6.4 mil. last year (I think), and his contract was only worth 48 mil. What am I missing? Is it because of the lower salary cap? What will Stevie and Marion be making next year at max contracts of 85 mil?
