Does anyone have any interesting Rockets-Bulls stats they could pass along? For instance, any box scores of Rockets-Bulls matchups during the 90's or the teams' records against each other during MJ/Hakeem's respective careers? Also, I remember reading a very interesting stat some time ago about Maxwell vs. Jordan. It was something like, 'Max was the only player to ever hold Jordan under 20 points more than 2 times' or something incredible like that. If anyone knows, please post it. Any solid statistical evidence of the Rockets dominance over the Bulls would be greatly appreciated. ------------------ Mo money, Mo problems...
Man, I would love to see those stats myself. Someone quit bogarting the stats and let us see. ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem. DREAMer's Rocket Page
Cabbage, If you go to the CC.net Stats home, you can see how the Rockets faced against the Bulls each year by clicking on the season you want to see. Just check on every season I guess in MJ and Hakeem's career, and add up each year's record to find the total record. I can't help you with any of the other stuff, but if you want to see the Rockets/Bulls record against each other in those years you can find it. http://www.clutchcity.net/stats_home.cfm ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi? I just remember that after Cartwright hit Dream in the eye w/ an elbow we won at least 5 of the next 6 meetings and they were all blowouts. Max did play Jordan really well. In one NBC televised game in Chicago he held Mike to about 19pts and had about 17 himself, trashtalking and literally spitting in Mike's face the whole while. Max was one of the few guys quick enough and strong enough to stay Mike at the time. ------------------

Rockets=5, Bulls=1 during the Bulls first three championship years. Rockets=1, Bulls=5 during the Bulls second go around. Two and two during the Rockets championship years. 13-11 during years in which Hakeem and Mike were both playing (excluding MJ's part of the year comeback). ------------------ [This message has been edited by TraJ (edited September 05, 2000).]

Thanks to everyone who replied. That 5-1 record against the first Bulls team will go a long way. ------------------ Mo money, Mo problems...
In that box score of the '97 game, it says Quitten scored 5 points. C'mon, is he really one of the 50 greatest players? ------------------ The best is yet to come. Go Rockets!
In the 1st threepeat, The only lost was in chicago with Vernon in foul trouble most of the night and fouling out late in the game. I believe OT fouled out too. The Bulls had a .441 FG%. Jordan averaged 1.16 pts/FGA while Pippen was taken out by Buck or Horry to average <1 pts/FGA. The rockets shot over 52% as a team in these games. In the 6 games played including thge loss, the rockets outscored them by nearly 8 pts a game. A friend of mine has the boxscores, i will see if I can get them from him. ------------------ "You've got 6 fouls, use them well" -Derrick Coleman
